More "premium seating"? Does that mean updated seats and aisles? Or, new, high cost seating for big donors? Thought OSU had big donor seating and amenities that are already not being bought. So what we need is to upgrade for the very few and not great upgrades to Reser to get more of the gen pop into the stadium? Can't wait to see the actual plans... Where is the plan to put permanent grandstands in Goss over the bullpen/ batting cages, that can be accessed from Banners? That is the one facility we sell out most frequently and can generate revenue from the moment they are built!

Next phase is to have permanent seats in right field that can be accessed through Casey’s corner. I don't have a problem with that either, but the bleachers that exist are a known quantity - it is timelier to build something permanent over the top of the batting cages and then work on the permanent replacements for functional bleachers in right - they can still link the bleachers with Casey's by building a platform, and that would be a cheap intermediate step.

If you link the RF bleachers with the existing facility, as you suggest, they become a permanent structure and all ADA codes apply and those RF bleachers must be made handicap-accessible. At present, as a temporary, stand-alone structure, there is a different set of ADA-mandated requirements.

They can’t put permanent stands in right field. The rail line is moving eventually so Washington has to move. The railroad has right of way and says there isn’t enough room for their bigger trains🙄. That’s why there is a weird intersection at 15th. The ROTC building will have to move as well as the sand volleyball courts and the parking for the IM fields. The city won’t let OSU build permanent seats in right field until that all happens and they know set backs and how much room they’ll have. This info is from people in the athletic dept that were lamenting having to put up temporary bleachers every year. I work for the company that puts the wood subfloor down for the season so I asked why they don’t put in permanent seating. This was my answer.

Just design a rail siding that allows a couple of large bleacher sections, mounted on train carriages, to be rolled-in and parked at the start of the season and rolled out at the end of the season. That's some visionary, royalty-free thinking right there, if I do say so myself.

You are correct in that Washington Way needs to move about 15 feet to the north as the street was built in the railroad right of way. But the tracks are not moving, only the street in a multiphase process with the first phase completed on the east end at 15th street. That's not far enough north to affect the sand volleyball court or right field seating, but will require moving of the substation and ROTC building.
