Wondering if the beavs would be interested in 6’6 post Maggie Mendelson. She plays on the same high school team as Timea Gardiner and is extremely mobile in transition. The only downside is that she seems to be wanting to play volleyball in college as well. Don’t know if she’d be interested in our volleyball program or if Scott would want a multi-sport college athlete. I’m surprised we don’t appear to be looking at more low-post options this recruiting cycle. We could definitely use another once Kennedy and Taylor are done at OSU. Is not Raegan Beers a post player? You’re correct, she is. I was thinking we could use another once Kennedy and Taylor are gone. I guess we would still have Jelena too, and we all know we’ve played with fewer post players lol. We could potentially hold off until ‘24 if Jones and Brown stick around for a 5th year.

Listed as a post player at 6'2". I think she is more suited for the 4 position in college.

Assuming we’re still talking about Beers, after seeing pictures of her standing next to Jones, she seems just as big. I’ve also seen her listed elsewhere as 6’3 and I’ve read that her specialty is back-to-the-basket play. I bet she’ll be able to hang down low.

Beers is built very solidly so I don't see any problem with her playing the post in college. The head scratcher is how she would work out for the Beav's. The keystone for SR's defense is a post who can block shots and so he always has taller folks in the center. Mit should be around for another four years so it's not a pressing problem yet.

Ok everyone here is the picture of Reagan with Taylor and Kennedy.....to me she looks to be a solid 6'3" maybe even 6'3 1/2":....and to whet your appetite here are a couple of quotes about her I found: from Prospects Nation: "Beers was one of the 2019 calendar year's biggest risers. Few posts in her class have shown the strength, touch and competitiveness. Her frame translates to the college game now. In three years of developing her game, the upside is major.".....and from Hardwood Evolution before she commited to OSU: "Superstar Raegan Beers continues her national tour as she is being recruited by the top programs in the country"......Click on the photo to expand it. The other girl from Derby, Maryn Archer has been mentioned here before, and is rated higher than Addyson by at least couple services I've seen. I'm pretty sure there has been video of her posted on one of these threads. She's a good player. I think she is only 5'6" or 5'7, which traditionally isn't the size the Beavs recruit, but they are definitely keeping an eye on her, and following her on social media. Oh, and Maryn and Addyson have played together for a while. They don't hate each other yet. The relationship obviously helps, but I expect Addyson to be open to all callers, and would put the chances below 50% for her to become a Beav. If Kennedy raves about how great Oregon State and the coaches are, and if she would be around as a senior for her and Addyson to get to play one year together, then that would obviously make a difference. They were too many years apart to play in high school together, so the opportunity to play one year together may be appealing to Addyson.

Some film from last summer of 2022 commit Timea Gardiner (#30) playing with 2023 recruit Amari Whiting (#1). They play extremely well together! We can only hope Timea’s commitment pushes Amari a little closer to Corvallis.

Amari would be a great get for OSU.....I watched the first 20 min. of the above video and she is a scrappy pg with good offensive skills and already plays excellent pressure defense just like SR teaches!.....Her Mother (coach) has taught her well!

I did a bit more research on Amari and her Dad played at BYU as a Sr. transfer and she already has a BYU offer on the table, but her older brother has committed to Boise St. so they don't appear to be locked into BYU..... (or it's possible BYU didn't offer him).
