I dug deeper into the player listed first, Donovyn Hunter #46, with the heavy knee brace on. Found this OSU connection: "While still in the seventh grader, Hunter had been scouted by NCAA Div. 1 programs including Louisville, Stanford, Oregon and Oregon State, according to KDRV." Supposedly the Beavs offered Donovyn back in 2018. That seems really early. I wonder how much interest they continue to have in her?

Today, Sept. 9, marks the start of a "Contact Period" in the NCAA Recruiting Calendar.
This means that: "Authorized athletics department staff may make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations."

Attends St. Mary's Academy and has Gonzaga and Notre Dames listed in her top 8......Have no idea if attending a Catholic school is an issue in her recruiting or not...She listed Stanford so she must be solid as far as academics go. Will be interesting to see how this plays out....

She has also followed players from Cal, Washington, and Oregon as well as some other 2022 and 2023 recruits who will likely end up at Pac-12 schools over the past day. |
