One consolation on 2023 is that it is 2 years away....and a LOT of players in the country who are good right now are going to be VERY, very good in 2023... The players who are good right now will also be good in 2023 - but they'll have a lot more company who are just as good... With a new assistant coach on the payroll, and a new cluster of coaching and player contacts throughout the country, there's no telling who is catching the Staff's eye right now.
From my vantage point, the biggest "recruits" in 2023 will be Kennedy Brown and Jelena Mitrovic if they improve as hoped for in 2022🏀🔍.. GO BEAVS!!

Cunningham is, IMO, similar to Beers with maybe a slightly more advanced offensive game and maybe a little quicker. They're both about 6-3 with big, strong frames and do much of their damage inside the paint and also control the boards. If Scott was looking for a post player in 2023, I think it would be someone who has a little bit more length than Raegan (ex: Amanda Muse or Maggie Mendelson).
For the 2023-24 season, Taylor Jones is the only COVID-wildcard on the roster. Of course there's a solid chance the roster will look different by then, but as of now with Jones we're at ten and without Jones we're at nine.

Scott has 2 very strong classes in 2021 and 2022. Those who are in the 2023 class are very aware of that, and those who think their skills will complement those of the members of those 2 classes will be taking a good, hard look at OSU. I'm very confident Scott will bring in another strong group, but it will only be 2 or 3. He has 4 freshmen this year, and 4 more next year.
Yes, it seems like every mother's daughter is including Arizona, UCLA, Oregon, and Stanford in their final list, but all those schools have the same roster restraints as us, and the same 200 minutes of playing time available. We'll seehow it all shakes out.

Yes, I totally agree with you about floor time, signing with a team already loaded with talent at your position - and other constraints... What strikes me is that just about EVERY quality player - which you must recruit to compete for the top spots in the PAC - has been tagged and recruited by Arizona, Oregon, UCLA & Stanford.
Arizona is new to this elite group of talent hunters, but they are doing very, very well competing against the other PAC powerhouse programs.... Getting any top 20 player to sign on the doted line is a tough (really tough) job nowadays in the PAC......
A few posters have mentioned Sofia Bell from Portland as a viable big-time prospect.....I'd be curious to know if the Beavs have her pegged as a top prospect....Anyone been following her?
At any rate it's great to have posters who keep track of these developments and help to monitor them for us......Recruiting is a weird addiction once is grabs you.🏀 GO BEAVS!!

Also, the kids nowadays think nothing of transferring at any point in their career's. One football player I read about yesterday , committed to one school - switched his commitment ( I know nothing is final until actual signing ), and then switched back to his original school again . Then consider the impact of the NIL deals, where rich programs will ultimately control the top tier talent pool ! What we are witnessing is the total demise of the NCAA ( major sports initially ) and the creation of another level of Profesional sports . Seems like there is a potential slip in going to University for the elite level guys / gals . Football players driving around campus in Ferrari's is a bad look for all of the other kids that are not on scholly and that are working hard towards their degree, many of them with only hardworking families and third party loans to go from day to day !

One of the main reasons I have gravitated to women's basketball is that it is a much 'purer' sport than the men's game. There doesn't seem to be a bunch of cheating, and there are no 'one and done's.' What limited integrity remains in the men's game will very quickly be eliminated by NIL.
Ultimately, that will rear its ugly head in the women's game too, and maybe it already is - there has to be some logical reason for all these kids listing UCLA and Arizona. For right now, however, I'll (naively?) continue to believe that the world of the women's game is fundamentally different from that of the men.

"A few posters have mentioned Sofia Bell from Portland as a viable big-time prospect.....I'd be curious to know if the Beavs have her pegged as a top prospect....Anyone been following her?” I can’t say with 100% certainty that the coaching staff has pegged her as a top prospect, but there definitely are factors that point to it. On Twitter, Scott Rueck seems to only follow athletes that he is seriously interested in or ones that already have an offer from OSU. The whole coaching staff (Scott, Jonas, Jenny and Deven) are all currently following Sofia on Twitter, and there seems to be a mutual interest. Since her scholarship offers are not publicized on social media, she may currently have an offer from the Beavs and we just don’t know about it yet. Sofia certainly is a top prospect though, as she recently helped her Cal Stars team win a national championship and is ranked #28 overall on ESPN for the class of 2023.

95% certain that Bell has an offer. She’s been a regular attender of Women’s basketball games for several years. Her stock has risen as she has played with the Cal Stars program. Always good to get a local kid. She would be a good one to add to the list. Solid player and getting better.

It appears that her most recent addition to whom she is following on twitter is Deven Hunter.
