Spot on grad1973. As good as we are going to be at guard, Amari brings another set of skills to the team with her quickness and slashing.
I'm looking at the prospects for 2023 and would love to see a class that includes;
Amari Whiting 5-9 PG
Breya Cunningham 6-4 P
Addyson Brown 6-1 W
Soffia Bell 6-1 W

I’ve yet to see anyone mention Adria Lincoln. She’s a 2023, 6’1 guard out of Monroe, WA who plays for the NW Blazers (same club as Talia). Although she’s not ranked on ESPN, she averaged 19.8 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and shot 38% from 3-point range during her 2021 high school season. Seems to be a great shooter, has finesse to her game, and reminds me a bit of Kat Tudor. She’ll be one to keep an eye on throughout the coming months as there seems to be mutual interest between her and the coaching staff! Highlights below…

She was one of 34 girls selected to the USA National under 16 team trials this summer (along with Olivia Anderson, Breya Cunningham, and others) As for the Beavs interest, I only know that her and her Mom were two of the first people Jenny H started following on twitter when it became apparent she was going to be the Beavs coach. Adria's Mom follows Scott, Jonas, Jenny, and Devin as well as former Beaver coaches Katie and Brian. |

The most important recruiting that can be done right now is securing the 2022 commits, so I like that Scott is where Timea and Raegan are.
As for the 'stock riser' naming for Amari Whiting, in my book she's already risen. I think a few have been slow to realize how good she is.

I also like that Scott is focusing on the 2022’s, while Jenny and Deven are out building new relationships with 2023’s and 2024’s. It’ll be interesting to see who they’ve connected with out on the recruiting trail! |

I don't know how much effort the Beavs are throwing toward landing Amari, but what I do know is that I don't want to see her attend any Pac-12 school other than Oregon State.
Amari Whiting is getting respect and high praise everywhere she turns.

And I don't want to start a thread for 2025, but Sienna Betts has an offer from Colorado.

Ok, I'm going to quit posting these until there are real updates, but Amari received an offer from Arizona. Let's face it, she can go just about anywhere she wants. I'm not sure how interested the Beavs are, but if they are, I hope Timea goes to bat for the Beavs.

Jenna Villa has recently picked up offers from these Pac-12 schools- Arizona, Utah and Washington State. It’ll be interesting to see who we offer in terms of 2023s. I think her style of play fits in really well with the Beavs and I hope to see us pursue her!
