2-22 from three point land. Ouch!! 30.4 percent overall. That won't win any games with that stat line. The teams lack of a consistent inside game is the story of this season. Good season under the circumstances.

30% from the 3 and season average from the FT and they would've gotten the win. Ah well.
Bye Katie, loved watching you play that fierce D.
Jo, thanks for giving it your all every time you were on the court.

I said earlier that the Beavs would need to shoot 40% from three. Louisville shot 41% and we shot 9% (yes, single digit nine percent).

damn after the civil war games our shooting dropped like a rock! to think the commentators were talking about this team winning a national championship after that series.

You know, another routine sweet 16 isn't a bad year, really! Unfortunately, our program is to the point that a "routine" sweet 16 is starting to feel like a let down. And, if you think about it that's a REALLY NICE place to be!! Look, we didn't have an inside game (5 spot) that was a consistent offensive threat and one of our best 3-ballers got hurt early so it was a challenge to get where we did. We STILL MADE THE FINAL 16 in spite of those challenges. That's awesome and a testament to our HOF coach!! I can't wait 'till next season with our incoming talent. I look for another sweet 16 and hopefully an elite 8 or better for 2020!! Thank you SR for your talents and loyalty to Beaver Nation and thank you, gals, for all your hard work in the face of so much adversity. You made Beaver Nation proud once again!!
Go Beavs!!

The next two years should be a strong run to the Final Four. I'm excited to see how the players improve (even more so than the recruits coming in).

This was a rebuilding year? Yep. That'll do!

Too many missing pieces on this team to get deeper in the tourney. It's a testament to the program that Scott has built that we feel disappointed by not getting beyond the sweet 16.
Nevertheless, this was a good season considering the injuries and shooting problems down the stretch. They'll be better next year.

Also they could have easily lost a devastating first round had it not been for Aleah Goodman. A Sweet 16 is a long ways from that game.

When KAT Tudor went down...our elite eight chances did too. I'm going to miss KTMAC. I was hoping she went out in a blaze of glory. She surely represented OSU well, as did Jo. It's damn hard to say goodbye.

Louisville is a good team, the defense was good; but not Pac 12 good, in my opinion. I was surprised at how many good open looks we had in the game. We just could not hit shots. I did not think that UCLA, ASU, or Stanford would have allowed us to have that many open looks. It is almost as if the team was surprised by how open they were at times and caught off guard that the close out was not the same as Pac 12 league play. It was as if they were thinking as they took shots in the game, "I cannot remember the last time I was this open, I better make the shot."
Now I think that Louisville has the ability to make tough shots throughout the team, probably better than any Pac-12 team. The season was enjoyable.

After a frustrating evening trying to watch the ladies make a shot, my assessment is that they played hard and like crazy hard on defense. Alas, no one could hit the long one. ZERO... I was proud of how they played, shooting woes and all.
This team will be much better next year and maybe even better the year after. Can't wait really, I see them back in the Final Four at least once in the next 2 or 3 years...

Nevertheless, this was a good season considering the injuries and shooting problems down the stretch. They'll be better next year. Let's hope one of the incoming players is an immediate impact player at the 5. Aquino, Jones, or Morris--somebody has to be more than a bit player. Tudor moves over to take KT Mac's starting spot. Let's hope her knee is 100%. Corosdale gets pushed at the 4 for the starting job by Kennedy Brown...maybe. The main thing is to have some pieces in place to take advantage of Pivec's senior year. Pivec will be a force in the Pac-12 next year and hopefully some others will have their shoulders to the wheel. Pivec will leave a Gulich-sized hole on the team when she graduates. Time to get 'er done.
That said, the team did about all that could be hoped for this year, and are to be congratulated for the time and effort they put in. Onward.

You didn't mention Mitrovic at all At 6'9" and with good court sense and fundamentals, you can't discount her as the someone who could be an impact player. Just depends on how fast she can pick things up and acclimate herself to the USA. We have enough people who can fill in at the 5 that there shouldn't be any problem finding someone who can give us a huge lift next year. Plus we'll finally have depth at forward with Brown. Next year has the potential to be the best year in the history of the program, especially if Kat can come back at full strength. With 6 good big players and 4 excellent guards (counting Kat here), we have the raw talent, at least, of a top-5 program. That vision is good to have in the hiatus until August arrives.
