That means the ducks insured very little drop off in skill level At pg. that’s what hurt them when pao pao was injured. They lost a very valuable position during the end of their season. He doesn’t want to go that route again. Lucky him. Damnit! Dammit, Increases the odds for them for Breya Cunningham and Grace Vanslooten. These players know one another very well. m
Does it seem the Pac-12 killing it across the board. The conference as a whole is doing quite well. As Mancari said Vanslooten is one of his favorites. I agree she is charasmatic

Some definitely are. Stanford, Arizona, UCLA, Oregon, Oregon St. USC was doing well before the coaching change, we'll have to wait and see. Washington got some transfers but it's too early to see how the new coach will do with recruiting. I don't see some of the other schools keeping up though, so they are just going to fall further behind.
I don't want to wait another 30 years between National Titles for a Pac 12 school. I think it would be great if someone other than Stanford was finally able to do it (yeah, I know, USC, but that was ancient history and doesn't look to ever be repeated). And keep the steady stream of various Pac 12 schools getting to the Final 4 rolling.

This talk brings up a good question. How many times do good friends end up going to the same school? As a couple recent examples, I think it can be said of Kennedy and Taylor. Not the case with Paige and HVL.

I just don't fully understand why 4 very good PGs would want to stack themselves 4 deep at Oregon (even with Nike money, which won't be under the table anymore, but right out in the open). In contrast, OSU can only get 1 good-very good PG or 1 PG plus 1 Combo guard on the roster at the same time.
Question for rmancarl...good friends or just good "aquaintances" to the same school..maybe Timea Gardiner and Reagan Beers? TVO and A.J. Marote?

This makes me wonder...how hard is Rueck shootin' for Vanslooten? (I just had to say it)

Everyone pretty much agrees that Vanslooten is the real deal and a premiere catch for the program that gets her. The practical question Coach Rueck and his staff is looking at is this: How much does she add to a program that soon will have Raegan Beers and Timea Gardiner on the roster? In addition to already-on-the-roster legit Bigs, Kennedy Brown and Taylor Jones.
I know Vanslooten's good - but is she necessary?
Interested to hear ideas on this. GO BEAVS!!

We already have 4 commits for 2022 to go with 4 freshmen (including Jelena) in 2021. If the staff were considering adding a 5th for next year, I would have to think it would be a guard. You can only take so many in any given year. I would have to think that almost all the recruiting effort at this point would be on 2023.

Her choice was down to two schools loaded with PG's.
I think players that sign can be very effective recruiters. Remember many of them play team ball and their paths cross often. So a kid going across country to school might bite by just just knowing someone from team ball and say "Hey, I am going here, you should too" might be a nudge if all things seem equal. Maybe not?

I think the Beavs were pretty confident they were going to land Gardiner, which means that Vanslooten wasn't 'necessary'. The Beavs got what they wanted, which left little room for even a talent like Vanslooten.

I don't really know how good of friends Timea and Reagen are, or how good of friends TVO is with A.J. I do know that Timea and Amari are pretty tight, but I'm not sure that will help the Beavs land Amari. I thought Sasha, Greta, and Payton were good friends (played 3X3) together and may end up at the same school. Of the three, I thought the Beavs had the best chance to land Payton. I'm obviously not very good at that stuff. I do wonder if Sasha being at OSU helped the Beavs land the commitment from Greta.

Are you talking about the committed players? I was wondering when that was going to happen. Hope they had/have a great time!!
