From what I’ve heard, we should hear an announcement on the end this week I'm a big fan of Lily Hansford's game. For me, it's a matter of style of play, and how she fits in with the Oregon State system. If she does choose the Beavs, she'll be joining a very talented group, so we'll have to see how all the peices fit. Lily and Adlee would make quite shooting duo. Before Katie left, there appeared to be some inroads between the Beavs and a couple other highly ranked 2022's. If we hear positive recruitng news this week, I'm guessing 2022 will be wrapped up. beaverwbb fan, are you hearing anything differently? I think four is the max Rueck would take in a single class. That would put us at 10 scholarship players (excluding Aquino, 11 if Taya uses her extra year), plus Noelle in 2022-23. Looking at the 2022-23 roster, we probably could use another point guard, so that leaves some room to add one via the portal.

ESPN updated their 2022 rankings: www.espn.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/rankings/_/class/2022As far as Beavers go, Timea Gardiner is still #4 and Raegan Beers dropped a spot to #11. Neither Blacklock nor Hansford made the top-100. As for the PAC-12, Arizona has two commits (#10 and #27) and UCLA has two (#9 and #20). Stanford (#1) and Arizona State (#73) each have one.

Dang, I was hoping Blacklock might make the top 100 this time around. I guess when you’re coming back from injury and haven’t had much opportunity to play, it’s hard to move up in the rankings. Good thing rankings don’t define talent and ability! I think both Adlee and Lily will contribute greatly for years to come.

I think Blacklock has a sufficiently strong reputation as a real prospect, (even as a big-time prospect) that if she has a strong season she will shoot up the ratings chart much faster than another rising prospect with similar numbers......
Her film is just too impressive for the talent scouts not to have her on a "special watch." At least that's how I see it......My guess is that I'm not the only one who sees it this way!! GO BEAVS!!!

This is based purely off speculation, but I believe that it’s only a matter of time before Lily Hansford commits to the Beavs! Nailed it!

High praise for both Timea and Raegan from Premier Basketball ( Matchups Matter): Oregon State commit Timea Gardiner (NWBA Elite/Adidas) has been a main stay at the top of the 2022 national class her entire scholastic career. Gardiner is as skilled as any forward in the class with the ability to score from all levels or create for others as she is an excellent decision-maker with the ball. Oregon State commit Reagan Beers (Hardwood Elite/Adidas) is a force on both ends of the floor. Coming back from a knee injury, Beers seems to be bouncier than she was pre-injury. Beers’ ability to score both in post-up situations and from the three point line makes her one of the most well rounded players in the class. She may be the best passing big amongst the 2022’s.

I can't seem to find it now, but I seem to recall reading about Teagan Brown as a prospect somewhere here. UW just got a commit from her. Adding Katie Faulkner to their staff probably helped with that.

Raegan was named to the Day 1 Starting Five of Premier Basketball’s Super 64 Tournament. I believe she only scored about 8 or 10 points in two games, which says a lot about how much she can impact the game without scoring.

Nice post. I'm excited about Reagan. Curious though, is there any word on the recruitment of Aalyiah Gayles?

Nice post. I'm excited about Reagan. Curious though, is there any word on the recruitment of Aalyiah Gayles? She did reopen her recruitment after the coaching change at Southern Cal. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her end up there though. Cal, Southern Cal, UCLA, and Arizona were the four PAC-12 schools that made her top-10 before she committed. Whatever school she ends up at will be adding an explosively athletic, physical PG who still needs to hone her skills some. Adlee is still rehabbing her ACL tear and likely will not be participating in AAU tournaments this year. She should be good to go for her high school season, though. Timea is finally back. She has been a little rusty this tournament as she works herself back into playing shape.

It's hard to believe that a team with Timea and Amari ended up in fifth place. It goes to show there is a lot of talented basketball being played this week.

Who's that left handed sharp shooter?!! Hopefully we will see plenty of that shot the next few years!
