So as history has dictated, Defense wins championships, seahawks have proven it and so has washington. So with that being said. What is the best defense schem the beavers could use to better themselves. Cuz obviousky a 3-4 aint gunna cut it. Its horribly trash. Im thinking in my opinion the beavers should do a 5-4-2 defense, or just a 4-3 base defense. What defense do yall recomend the beavers using?

I think a base 4-3 is the best defense but it takes some bigger, stronger, faster athletes than the Beavs have had on the front seven. Good teams have stout D lines that don't get pushed back easily. Stopping the run and getting to the QB is where it's at.

Offensive ineptitude combined with some decent D made this Pac-12 title game a real clunker to watch. Funny to think when UW and Utah first played, a 21-7 Husky win, that the only TD for the Utes was on D. This time around Utah paid UW back in the same coin but forgot to score any TD's along the way...LOL!
Good luck in the Rose Bowl UW. You're gonna need it.

And in a toast to the Pac-12 network and our wonderful head office, the talking heads on sports radio were laughing at the Pac-12 because they had to hold their title game on a Friday night and that attendance was so low as to be almost uncountable.

The whole neutral "championship game" site idea is among the dumbest ideas of Larry Scott.
He's wearing thinner and thinner on me (by the second).
Is there a conference championship game that’s not played at a neutral site?

Is there a conference championship game that’s not played at a neutral site? Not a Power 5 one. However, our league is more geographically spread out than any of their other power 5. I think they need to go back to the best record hosting. If they want a neutral site, they should move it to Vegas when the Raiders stadium is done. At least Vegas is a better destination than Santa Clara.

How do games like UCF/Memphis, MTSU/UA fickin B(ready to close the doors on football a few years ago and App State play their championship games on Sat, but the PAC-12 is on Friday freakin night!? Are we really a Power-5?

Is there a conference championship game that’s not played at a neutral site? Is there a conference championship game with even remotely the meager attendance of the Pac-12, since it switched to the game site being at Levi Stadium? Hasn't been a decent attendance since it was switched to being Friday night there.
35,134 in 2018. Not even half full. Probably 5,000 of those were comps, too.
So you’re just going to avoid the question. Fine. You know you were wrong.

Are we really a Power-5? Not defending the Friday night time slot, but I see logic of being the only game on TV.

Plus Fox determines the day and time when they bought the rights... just like the CW being on Friday. The real story goes back to a previous thread, Pac12 farms out certain games, yet wastes millions running their own network.

I have more of a problem with the game being held on a Friday night than at a neutral location. WTF? Everyone else's is today. What is the Pac 12, the ugly step-sister?

Is there a conference championship game that’s not played at a neutral site? I believe the Memphis/UCF game is at UCF’s home field. Not sure about any other games.

I just think the PAC-12 has the WORST leadership.

I was one who enjoyed the low-scoring affair last night. I'd rather see two teams battle hard trying to find the play that will break the other team's will than a high scoring match.
Gimme a team that puts defense ahead of offense. I'd like to see a coach focus on defeating the other team by not letting them score points. Period. I don't think it's too much to ask for. At one point, we had a fairly consistent level of linebackers coming through the program, right? That would be a sight to see! 3-4 sacks every game! Turnovers! Passing games thwarted. Running game stifled. I'd be in the stands every Saturday if they could field a great defense.
Offense comes and goes. So much of the offense depends upon a skilled and mature QB. And you need talent in both the running game and the receiving corps.
Great defense. Mediocre offense. I'll take it!
