That's encouraging. I think we're going to do really well in 2021. We're due for a class with 3 or 4 high five stars; might as well be next year.

In early October, it was reported that the staff made a trip out to Centennial HS in Corona, CA. Centennial HS is now ranked in the top-25 nationally after scoring wins over Garfield HS (Dalayah Daniels), Grandview HS (Lauren Betts and Addison O'Grady), Beaverton HS, Windward, and a few other schools with big time recruits.
Centennial appears to be led by Jayda Curry, a 5-6 PG in the class of 2021 who has been off to an exceptional start, and was named to the all-tournament team at the prestigious Nike TOC. She may be a name to look out for in the class of 2021.

Here is an updated 2021 recruiting chart: The top-4 players all have reported offers or have OSU as a finalist, and the rest are players that have been tied to OSU in one way or another (a visit to Corvallis, a social media following, a trip by the staff, etc.).

beaverwbb fan - - thanks for posting the 2021 recruiting chart...It's filled with good (and encouraging) info... Obviously no Bigs on the list as the Beavs are loaded with Tall Talent for the next 2 years - especially if Mitrovic gets healthy and stays healthy....
The immediate problem will be replacing Pivec, Tudor and Slocum if they all depart the program....With Goforth being the main addition for next year (20-21) Coach will have to figure out how to maximize his wealth of Big talent with considerably less Guard talent than he has available to him this year......The bottom line with Big talent is that someone must get them the ball on every offensive possession...Jones, Brown, Mitrovic, Morris are not going to score on their own. Someone's got to get the ball into their hands and right now it's hard to know who it will be...If Destiny returns for one more year that problem will be solved and the Beavs will become an immediate Final Four favourite...
At any rate, I don't think the Beavs have ever had as many premiere prospects considering playing ball at OSU as appears on beaverwbb fan's chart....Here's hoping' we can reel in 2, maybe 3. If so, our bright future will shine even brighter...... GO BEAVS !!

She may be 5-6...tops. I think she stays, unless she is just ready to leave...

I think she stays, unless she is just ready to leave... I do think that Destiny will remain in Corvallis for the '20-'21 season, assuming that she doesn't receive confirmation from the WNBA or some reliable scouting services that she will be a first round draft pick (top 12 picks). We know that one of her goals is to play in the WNBA. To achieve that goal, one more year in Corvallis may help. Most of the WNBA mock drafts do not have her being picked in the first round, even when speculating that she will be an "early" entry in 2020. That could change if she finishes the season in strong fashion. I am pretty sure that she will have her degree by the end of this school year. She can stay at OSU and work on an advance degree and enjoy playing with her friends and teammates. She does seem to be enjoying that aspect of her collegiate basketball experience.

As has been stated many times, the big money for these girls in international basketball. Playing in the WNBA has a lot of prestige, while also bringing the possibility of playing professionally overseas. I have no idea what Destiny wants, or plans to do, but asking where she goes if she leaves....she would go to play basketball both in the WNBA and overseas.
Addressing 411500 for a second, if Destiny does leave, I won't be a bit surprised to see the Beavs land a graduate transfer to help with guard depth for next year. I would even be a bit surprised if they don't. If Destiny does return, the depth at guard, and in the front court both look strong.

The maximum salary for the WNBA is 113k ...Destiny certainly wouldn't garner that at all. Europe would pay more for sure. It's all up to what she wants. Median salary in 2018 for the WNBA is 71k. Maybe she just wants to graduate and move on...I don't know her or her intentions... Now...if we win a National Title this year...all bets are off

If I were a betting man I'd bet she stays for her senior year.

What do you get (how much?) for playing in Europe? My only info is 14 years old. A woman that played on Portland's team in the short lived other women's pro league also played in Europe. I'm making up the numbers some but it was about $500/week for 20 weeks or so plus an apartment and use of a car.

"...someone must get them the ball on every offensive possession...Jones, Brown, Mitrovic, Morris are not going to score on their own. Someone's got to get the ball into their hands and right now it's hard to know who it will be." For starters, Goodman and Corosdale. Aleah this season has a (slight) lead over both Pivec & Slocum re: assists per minute. Last season Corosdale showed flashes of excellence in passing the ball inside. That being said, if Destiny doesn't return for her 5th academic year, there will be a serious need to bolster the backcourt before Fall 2020.

Is there any evidence that Destiny might leave? My guess is that she would stay even if the WNBA paid high salaries. She has improved and matured enormously this year including outstanding leadership skills and next year……… Although we cannot overestimate the impact of the loss of Mik next year, we have Taya coming back, two outstanding freshman who will be more experienced and a very good incoming duo. A few months ago, someone posted that Goforth was the highest ranked player that OSU has ever successfully recruited. I suppose that the different rankings are constantly changing and they do not always transfer well to college performance. At the moment I am more worried about the Arizona game but I REALLY hope Destiny does come back next year.
