texas tech fired him today. maybe not head coaching material. one of the brightest young offensive minds in the game. tech averaged 42 points and 550 yards during his tenure. has coached and developed Case Keenun, Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes ,Johnny Manziel and Alan Bowman ( top freshman pro prospect at any position). seems like we got to make the call

I love the Beavers, but one, I think our offense is good and will be great as is. Not to mention that building a foundation as CJS always refers to doesn’t include shifting gears like a Pinto going up a long grade! But really, honestly do you think a guy who was a head coach at a P5 school (and was pretty good imo!) is going to say, yeah, I tried being a Head Coach but I guess I’d rather settle and be an OC at Oregon State, a school with a failing grease fire of a program at an underfunded athletic dept. Sign me up! Or were you going so far to say we should pull the rug out from CJS and roll with KK???

If the Pirate decides to bail on Wazzu, KK would be the ideal candidate since the passing attack will be front and center so no need to recruit and rebuild the Cougs into another style of team.
JS showed if he had a QB who could get the ball out quickly while making correct reads, our passing game would do well. Only two FBS teams had three receivers with 50 or more receptions. Those two were OSU and WSU. Add in a 1000+ yard RB who was a real freshman and it does not get any better for putting a balanced attack on the field. Spice with trick plays and a willingness to go for it on 4th down, in which we succeeded often. JS is the Cadillac Fleetwood of O-scheme designers that can come at the opponent from many directions.

OSU is probably last on his list of teams to go coach for. USC can throw 4X the money and way better recruits. Michigan too.

I thought USC played with great effort yesterday, a strong player endorsement for their head coach, and their freshman QB looked really good. His best performance of the season which bodes well for next year.

Strong player endorsement. Where have I heard that before? Death blow!!! FYI, they’re 5-6 at USC! That doesn’t cut it. But his contract might save his job. Temporarily. Why does he have a Freshman Qb anyway? You’re USC for heck’s sake!

Our Roster is our problem. A coach can't come in and wave a magic wand with the overall quality of players we have. We are Kansas and UCONN bad... easily. or worse.

OSU was better than Connecticut. In the second half of the season Louisville was also making a run at the worst power 5 team. I'm curious now to see what were their numbers.

USC fired many assistance today, but T Martin O Coordinator was fired. I'm guessing the op was thinking KK would be an O Coordinator somewhere.... us, them... Colorado is looking for a HC

USC fired many assistance assistants today i heard a rumor that Lynn Swann is the SC AD and has been for years. That explains so much.

"Tunnel Vision" was a 1976 movie about a fictional network. They called themselves "the no bulls%#t network". It was a funny film!

I worry that, at some point, USC is going to put together another Carroll-Chow combination and then rip off like seven straight Pac-12 Championships.

Yup. They certainly don’t lack talent NOR a huge talent pool. Always amazed they aren’t in the playoff hunt annually. Second harshest sanctions ever handed out behind SMU will set even USC back a great deal.
Problem for them was expectations remained same which drove them to fire Kiffen, and drove Sark to self implode. Revolving door for coaches, program suffering depth issues which have still not fully recovered from sanction years, and a loss of confidence and momentum. Hard enough to gain that back with a stable program, even harder when HC's and assistants are changing frequently. Retaining Helton to provide some prolonged stability may prove a brilliant move, or a complete fluster cluck. Time will tell. lol.
