In about a weeks time, starts on Friday.
For the Beavs, this is their only shot to see top competition as there is no New Years tournament (Midlands or Scuffle) on the schedule. Time to make hay is now!
See this piece on FLO for ranked guys that could attend:

Only surprise to me is Calkins instead of Turner. Wonder if injury or ? Feels like they are pretty close either way, so probaby not much impact overall. Hope Bresser gets his rematch with Rivera. Was close until late.. much closer than the final score indicated. Gonna be a tough weekend, need some of the other kids to step up if we're going to make some noise.

Bresser with a MD over Purdue to make the semis. That win leap frogs the team into 9th place. It was a huge win

Bresser makes finals on a 2-1 semi win. Hunter wins and advances in Consies. He has #4 see from tOSU next match. Beavs sitting in 15 spot. Not too bad.

Tough loss for Bresser. Good match against a tough guy.

Rivera-Bresser met in the consolation 1/4 finals LY and it was all Rivera, 12-2. So RB has closed the gap. The LV result for the Beavs was better this year compared to last, and with only 9 guys.

Last year it was 2-1 Rivera going into the 3rd and Rivera got 2 take downs late with a 4 pt NF with 9 seconds to go + riding time to break it open. Bresser offense was much better this time around. Got in on his legs a number of times Saturday where last year he couldn't get out of ties. Really thought he had it in OT - great shot, got in deep, but a slick counter by Rivera for the win. Good match... Getting nothing out of Griego as the #3 seed and Reyes not wrestling certainly hurt the team score.

Greigo's been pretty disappointing his last two years. Showed so much promised as a redshirt freshman.

Greigo's been pretty disappointing his last two years. Showed so much promised as a redshirt freshman. Agreed. I don't know if it's the athlete/injuries, coaching or the room, but we've had more than a few guys in recent years that seemed to make little to no improvement (if not regress) between freshman and senior year. Hathaway, Delgado, Rodriguez come to mind..
