UConn beat ND pretty handily It's one thing to talk about recruits and the rankings assigned. It's completely another world to see top rated recruits ready for the big time 7 games into their career. UConn has two frosh (Williams the G with 28... the F Ododa was long, active) that were incredible vs much more experienced ND players and on the road. ND could not get stops at all when needed. Post game interview the frosh was amazing. Completely surprised she had 28.

Arike got what she deserves today from the officials. She will no longer receive the benefit of the doubt. Her antics have been widely exposed for what they are. Anyone else notice her kicking the feet out from under the uconn player when they were running down the court behind the play? Right in front of the ref and no whistle. She really sucks

Christyn Williams was on fire. ND had no answer . . . and the girl is just a freshman.

That one looked worse than the one that got called.

Rewatched the game tonight and a few observations.
Kept track of KtMc and she defended against Arike, Young, and Turner (all of them all-americans) and Turner got two baskets against her and that was it. Arike and Young eventually just passed off the ball whenever KtMc was guarding them. Huge come back after the USC game.
Soon as Trish came in they passed to whoever she was guarding and that person then scored and got a penalty shot until she was pulled. And the rest wasn't so great either. She's learning, but it's still a project.
Let's hope Jazz develops quickly because after KtMc there are no defensive stoppers. The others do OK but there isn't anyone else than can do really well against an explosive scorer.
A bunch of people willing to drive to the basket, opening up the outside for three's. Team keeps developing I think it's going to battle for the pac-12 and they will go far in the tournament!

beaveragain.. Interesting comments... I definitely agree that KT Mac is the premiere D player on this team... Also agree that our entire Paint Adventure this year is one project after another. This team simply does not have a post game on either side the ball that is anywhere near the level of the rest of its game. The excitement for this team will be finding ways to compensate for its weak post game with its collection of exceptionally skilled guards and wings....
With AA redshirting and PM showing that she has a long, long way to go before she is ready for the Pac, it's pretty clear that neither will make the impact on this year's team that we hoped for...
It's gonna be fun..... GO BEAVS !!

I still believe that by tournament time, we will benefit from our height in the middle.

I'm excited to see what a lineup of Slocum, Pivec, Tudor, McWillams, and Corosdale would do on the court, but I think SR might wait until almost tourney time to play it. That group will be very, very hard to guard. Go Beavs!

For anyone wanting to view the play by Arike in which she actually "sweeps" the leg of Dangerfield and trips her this past Sunday, you can view it on the Instagram link below. No foul was called on this play. The repeated dirty antics of Arike did prompt Dangerfield's mother to post a response to the video to praise her daughter for not allowing Arike's tactics to impact her focus on the game. http://instagr.am/p/Bq5v-X8BqVt

Thanks for the post confirming what I saw.
NCAA really needs to look closer at that player and her on court antics.

Thanks for the post confirming what I saw. NCAA really needs to look closer at that player and her on court antics. Her intentional “upstairs” elbow to Janessa Thropay’s jaw was deserving of an ejection. Someday soon, she’s going to try that nonsense on a gal who’s gonna drop her like a sack of potatoes.

Yes - more interesting to talk about our experience. I watched the replays over and over again to try to decide whether the OSU-ND game incidents were basketball plays or dirty plays. See some very amateur screen caps below. Pay no attention to the time stamp - taken from the slo-mo replay. Notice where her leg and her arm start out in each case, and where they end up. Also notice where she is looking. In the second set, notice exactly where the inept ref is looking as well.....though note after reviewing the kicking incident, they looked at the elbow incident and awarded a technical to the Beavers (elbow incident occurred before kicking incident). My conclusion - an edgy player at best, quite likely (seeing a pattern emerging) a dirty player. Hopefully that is not the kind of crap ND will tolerate and the kind of crap it takes to win a national championship, and I hope Muffett is a classy enough coach to shut down that kind of behavior. Go Beavs!

I too found some incriminating footage but this one grabbed my attention the most. You can notice the intent in the eyes I think the eyes give it away; Attachments:
