When you say "Oregon will add the PG soon..." who are you talking about? Goforth? There was some discussion than PG Minyon Moore from USC might have in interest in transferring to Oregon. Goforth is not a PG. I would imagine Oregon is also recruiting Hailey Van Lith who is a PG as we know. Caitlin Clark visited Oregon unofficially near the time she visited OSU, so that's another PG they might get. Van Lith is being heavily recruited by Mulkey at Baylor and I read on The Boneyard that Mulkey has visited her twice in Washington. Notre Dame is heavily recruiting Clark. I'm sure lots of other top schools besides these are after Van Lith and Clark. Given the huge competition, it would be a major coup and an upset if OSU got one or the other. EDIT: We know that UCONN was heavily recruiting Van Lith, but now that they have picked up 2 PGs for 2020 already, a third PG for them in 2020 would seem unlikely. Stanford already has a 2018 PG, a 2019 PG, and a 2020 PG...all high level recruits.

If you read PaoPao’s article, she nearly committed with saying she did. She basically said that was her first and last official visit and she loved UO. Also that she will announce soon.

5-9 PG Emily Ryan (KS), ranked #55 by espnW, committed to Iowa State over Oregon, Oregon State, Nebraska, and Missouri.

Has Emily Ryan been mentioned here before as a Beaver prospect? Maybe so, I just don't remember... Interestingly, Oregon was after her as well. Seems like they are chasing a lot of the kids we are pursuing....
GO BEAVS !!

I don’t think she has. In scanning the rankings, I noticed her (mostly because of the need for a PG and since she is from KS), but never posted about her because I never saw any type of connection. I’m guessing she was a second-tier recruit, behind Clark and Van Lith.

Iowa State is off to a good start for the 2020 class. They have also garnered the commitment of Lexi Donraski, the number 19 PG. There were rumors that Caitlin Clark was also highly considering Iowa St, but since they have already signed two top point guards, I'm guessing they are not high on Caitlin's list. Notre Dame has already signed a highly touted point guard as well, in Allison Campbell, but I doubt that changes Caitlin's recruitment at all.
If you follow twitter, it feels like 'commitment' season right now, with several girls committing just about every day.

Notre Dame has a bunch of “point guards” but they always say they won’t play PG. Mikayla Pivec was also listed as a PG, but is more of a SG. Katlyn Gilbert, Jordan Nixon, Anaya Peoples, and Alli Campbell are all “PGs” by HoopGurlz, but a I think they only plan on using Nixon there. We will offer a lot of PT.

Re Emily Ryan - ESPN has 15 point guards ranked ahead of her, though who knows how many will actually play that position in college.

Depending on the recruiting service, the opinion of how high the commits from uo vary widely. If you only read one source, the largest newspaper in the state,of course they are going to take the highest rating they can find. It's called hype! Nemec is a hype machine looking to get clicks, and sell newspapers. Parrish isn't the highest rated guard in the ratings except one service. Van Lith,Clark, and Goforth are much higher rated imo.

Most people use one of two services, espnW HoopGurlz or ProspectsNation. One ranks Goforth higher and one ranks Parrish higher. Another one, BlueStar, ranks Parrish #5 and Goforth #9. It is pretty much a toss up. For PaoPao, who isn't a top-60 recruit for ESPN, they used ProspectsNation which has her at 14. It would be more credible if they were consistent with their source. For example, if we weren't consistent, we could say we added the #16 and #18 recruits.
