UConn added another 2020 PG. Hopefully that does it for Van Lith.

I really hope we get a verbal from a pg soon. And a wing would be nice as well.

UConn added another 2020 PG. Hopefully that does it for Van Lith. Way to keep on top of the recruiting that could affect the Beavers. I agree...it seems highly unlikely that Van Lith would still choose UCONN and become the THIRD point guard in UCONN's 2020-21 class. We don't know her mindset, but I would be shocked, if not dumbfounded, if she still picked UCONN after this. Here's the story I found: www.theuconnblog.com/2019/4/8/18301022/uconn-huskies-womens-basketball-2020-pg-nika-muhl-commits-to-huskiesP.S. this may set off a chain reaction among several of the remaining top ranked, big name point guards over the next few days or weeks.

It would seem a little ridiculous, but Andrea committed, the. Trish, then Taylor, then Kennedy, then Jelena. I thought anything after Taylor seemed extremely unlikely.

I'm not on top of recruiting rules. Are athletes allowed to take "official" visits before their senior year?? Goforth won't be a senior until September. Right?
Any help on this one?

Quoting from the rule book, "For D1 men's basketball, recruits can begin taking official visits starting January 1 of their junior year of high school. Women's basketball recruits may begin taking official visits April of their junior year of high school, beginning the Thursday following the Women's Final Four tournament" Women can begin visiting this weekend, so we should expect to hear some rumors of visits thru May. Sasha is believed to be visiting early May.
The commitment of Nika Muhl to UConn is good in that she was considering the Ducks, and that makes two PG's for UConn. Still a long way to go for us to land Van Lith though.

I don’t even know who else visited.

I believe Jazmine Shelly visited, but you are correct, we didn't hear about many visits last year. The Beavs always seem to keep these things pretty quiet, and so do the players they recruit. I do hope we hear some good news soon though. It's a great year to land guards/wings.

For 2020, who is really on our list? Not sure how to know how the coaching team shares who is actually being actively recruited. Goforth, VanLith? any others??

Goforth, Van Lith, and Clark are definite recruits. Would be nice to add 2 of the 3. Oregon will add the PG soon, so hopefully that draws Clark and HVL closer to us. Not really sure who else. I think we are recruiting the 6’4” German wing - Emily Bessoir. KTB is the only coach in the country she follows as far as I saw, but Oregon has the Sabally twins who she is close with. Then there is Dalayah Daniels, but not sure where she fits. Her recruiting has seemed relatively quiet. 2021 has some great G/W too. Hopefully 2020 is a PG year.

When you say "Oregon will add the PG soon..." who are you talking about? Goforth?

Oregon recently had Sydney Parrish commit. She's listed as a guard, not sure if she's a PG.
