She's still a high school senior. Yep... changes exactly what?? For one thing, surpassing Marie’s status as a “beloved leader”. Marie became that her Senior year but for 3 years before that she was quiet as a wenzig kirchenmaus.

As stated above, Marie only became the leader her senior year. She had Ruth and Jamie leading her freshman and sophomore years and Syd and Gabby hey junior year.
Marie was a natural 4, she learned to play the 5 with her back to the basket but was always a better player with the increased room to move at the high post. Under the basket opponents were able to collapse on her and disrupt her game. That was her achilles heel.

"Surpassing" statement typically, especially regarding this thread, involves prognostication based on a known quantity/quality vs an unknown. Senior HS or college frosh, my opinion stands. AGAIN... never said Marie walked onto campus a leader. We're talking development. Comparing an HS player playing inferior competition to a proven D1 warrior and leader is ridiculous. She may equal, but certainly will not surpass Marie in those qualities listed previously. In fact there is a higher probability she will not match Marie in many areas. More elite HS talents under achieve than reach the type of young woman and player Marie was at OSU. And, KB sup actually be surrounded by other touted "bigs", her entire career. And, as this is my opinion I'll add... KB is beginning her OSU "career" with a demerit. Whether misinterpreted, misquoted, over emphasized, a player stated that she wants to play a specific spot without ever stepping on a D1 court is a bit of a red flag. She may be viewed as a special recruit, but she is not a special D1 player... yet.

Which is exactly what the entire thread is... and completely unsubstantiated conjectures. Someone could post that she'd never enroll or make the grade at OSU and be on equal footing.

Unsubstantiated conjectures - plus baseba1111's typical trollery. While the rest of us are writing about what excites us and what possibilities we see, it's baseba1111 who says, "KB is beginning her OSU "career" with a demerit."
Why post that c@#$@#$, baseba1111? No one wants to read it.

But, of course even stated as an opinion, we've all got to in lala land over the rainbow idealists or it's... Oh ya... it's a WBB post and no alternatives are allowed... 💩🍻

I had a feeling that it would mostly come down to us and UCLA. I didn’t think she could really fulfill her goals to OU. I am interested (and very, very happy) to hear why she didn’t further consider tsdtr. Seems like they could have used a big having none in 2019 and only the Saballys in 18 and 17 and may have offered some immediate minutes. I’m willing to guess our staff just formed a better relationship and she liked the atmosphere more here
