My guess would be that Kennedy will visit Oregon State, UCLA, and ? Why UCLA? Because her Mom seems to retweet and like tweets from Cori Close. Hopefully, that means nothing.
Another girl to keep an eye on this week is Aijha Blackwell. She's announcing her final schools this week. I think it is extremely unlikely she has the Beavers on that list, although KB is following her on twitter, but there is a good chance there may be a Pac12 team or two on her list of finalist.

There are two Saballys now. Little sister is also 6' 4".
Last year the *ucks played a lot of Ruthie in the key and two wings and two guards around the perimeter. Once in a while Sabally would play the 4. The did lose two good players that did play the 4 in Malley and McGuire.
There are so few similarities between the Oregon teams in both the coaching and players and the way they interact with each other that it is hard to understand how players would want to play with either of them, there has to be a favorite.

I have wondered about this myself. How a player could be equally comfortable with both programs when the differences between them are so great. I can see why certain players would not choose the Beavs because the offence is so structured that it has a stifling effect on kids who want a more free-wheelin run and gun approach to the game; also, the defensive demands imposed by Coach R are far greater than most coaches. What 5* wants to lose floor time because her D is weak !!
It would be interesting to know how many players had their final decision boil down to UO vs OSU.....I'm not sure I know of even one.....Any help?
At any rate, August is trying to outrun us, but before it does we better hear something from Kennedy Brown and Jazmin Shelley......
Side issue: Why no official word from OSU Sports Dept. on Vancouver Showcase OR the Maui Classic?
GO BEAVS !!

I'm not sure we will hear much from Kennedy or Jazim right now (hope I'm wrong). I don't know how many team members are on campus right now, since they've been dismissed until September 9th. I'm guessing the coaches would rather have the visits while the team is in town. I know Katie Mac is off to Guatemala today. Maybe I'm wrong and quite a few of them are around. I know beaverhoopsfan (I think it was) said they thought Jasmin was visiting soon, so perhaps we will hear something any day. There are no hints from Kennedy,or any of her family, that sheds light on her taking any visits soon, but often you don't hear anything until it has happened or is ready to happen.

I did a quick scan of who Jazmin Shelley (2019 Aussie Prospect) follows on instagram. The team the was the most interaction with was tsdtr. She followed OregonWBB, Ionescu, Sabally, Yaeger(an Aussie), and Maley(an Aussie and former OU player; transferred to TCU), and their Recruiter Mark Campbell. Hopefully Maley gives her a little insight on the time she had at tsdtr and hopefully Simmons is telling her about how great Corvallis is! She also followed Texas and their coach as well as Nebraska. Seems like we will definitely be competing against Oregon and possibly Texas for her. Likely if she does visits it will be us and Oregon! Hope we can get her!

Jazmin Shelley is in Corvallis this weekend. She has a close connection to Jasmine Simmons. They have been roommates.

Thanks for the info bhf. I thought she may come in next month, but it's good to hear that she made the trip. Hopefully this will lead to good news.

Watched the entire Aussie vs US game. Pretty impressed with Shelly. She is a cool cucumber. All the Aussies play excellent defense--they really move their feet. Watching Jasmine Simmons, she is clearly a defense 1st player. Simmons operates in the offense well, but doesn't appear to be a confident scorer (like Shelly). In any case, Simmons was on the floor nearly the entire game, and was often checking a USA player who was taller, and played very well defensively. It will be interesting to see how Rueck brings her along. From this one game, Simmons didn't display the offensive skills we got from Aleah Goodman in her freshman year. Because Rueck is a defensive minded coach, I suspect Simmons will see the floor next year. I sure hope Shelly comes our way, very impressed.

I too was extremely impressed with Shelley in that championship game. 23p8r6a is clearly an impressive stat line for any player going up against the best USA has to offer. I think Simmons had an off day offensively that game. Many of her points are transitional points she often scores off her defense. Once she can develop the 3-ball that most OSU players possess, she will thrive in Scott's system. As far as comparisons go, I may compare Shelley to a more athletic Aleah Goodman. I really hope Shelley comes our way too. A class of Jones, Brown, and Shelley would be a great class.

5-11 2019 4-Star Wing Nia Lowery joins JaQuaya Miller at UW. Also, JaQuaya’s other finalists were Oregon and UCLA
