Several teams have already announced their 2018-2019 Preseason games.... The Beavs will announce their's "pretty soon" according to Kendall Knotz...
Baylor has arranged some big-time names to muscle up their Non-conference schedule.... I'd love to see the Beavers do the same... It would be a great reward to the Corvallis fans who support the program in impressive numbers.
Baylor 2018-19 Non-Conference Basketball Schedule: ......Nov 11 vs. Arizona State (Navajo Reservation in Fort Defiance, AZ) Nov. 15 vs. Southern University Nov. 23 & 24 South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, NV (vs. South Dakota State and Georgetown, respectively) ......Dec. 2 @ South Carolina Dec 12 vs. Morehead St. ......Dec. 15 @ Stanford Dec. 31 vs. UTRGV ..........Jan. 3 vs. UCONN GO BEAVS !!

Wonder if we play Notre Dame again? Wouldn’t mind seeing them this year. They don’t have a whole lot of height, so I would like to see us match up against them.
South Carolina is another one who will be heavily guard oriented this year. How quickly our bigs can develop will be key!

If things fall right we might get to see a South Carolina - OSU match-up in Vancouver B.C. on Nov. 23 or Nov. 24... Wouldn't that be nice......

They lost the best player in the country in A'ja Wilson and their tallest returning players are 6'2", 6'2", and 6'3". We need to play some top 10 schools.... Notre Dame will be very good again this year with Ogunbowale, Shepard, Mabry and others returning. Hard to see a win if we play them, though it would be a great learning experience. Our bigs would probably not be nearly mature enough to handle what ND would throw at them, and ND is tough inside. I'd rather play UConn and beat that pus-bucket named Auriemma. Last time Slocum played UConn, she had a huge game. I think she could lead us to a win.

I agree very much about Notre Dame. I really like how our guards match up, but Shepard will be a handful for our bigs if they aren’t mature enough. And although coming back from injury, Brianna Turner is a great player too, but I think a healthy Corosdale could hang with her although Turner is probably a little more athletic. Would definitely be a good teaching lesson and great test for our players.
I think South Carolina will help prepare us for UCLA and USC this season. They will have really quick, talented guards in Destanni Henderson, T’ea Cooper, and Ty Harris, but won’t be strong in the post, which could be a chance for our bigs to grow

Duke here on December 20th. That should be a good one; put it on your calendar.

Duke here on December 20th. That should be a good one; put it on your calendar. Duke lost its top 2 scorers, Lexie Brown and Greenwell, so they're not expected to be all that good this season.... No. 20 Duke Blue Devils The Blue Devils will have a decidedly different look with the graduations of Lexie Brown and Rebecca Greenwell. The focus of the team will shift to the frontcourt, where 6-2 sophomore Leaonna Odom is on the verge of becoming a star. The return of a healthy Haley Gorecki, who missed the final 10 games of the season with a hip injury, would give coach Joanne P. McCallie a solid one-two punch. Health is the key word in Durham, with the Blue Devils also hoping for healthy seasons for guards Mikayla Boykin and Kyra Lambert, who are both returning from knee injuries.

Looking at Duke's OOC schedule it looks like they are flying cross country for a one-game deal with the Beavs..... Thought maybe they'd connect with one other Northwest school while they are out here, but it doesn't look like it.....
Sun, Dec 09 South Carolina Durham, N.C. 2:00 p.m. Thu, Dec 20 Oregon State at Corvallis, Ore. TBA Fri, Dec 28 East Carolina Durham, N.C. 7:00 p.m --------------------- It's actually a pretty skimpy December schedule for Duke - -

Oregon State made the trip to Durham last season, with the Blue Devils coming out on top, 72-65. Duke features a respectable 15-9 record against Pacific 12 Conference opponents.

Not sure what you mean by SC not being a top 10 team when we have finished in the top 10 or better for the past 6 years. Also I’m confused on having 6’2 posts won’t mean we will be as good in the paint? UCONN started 5’11” and 6’1” in the post last year and made t to the Final Four. I’m looking forward to possibly playing OSU in the Vancouver tourney and going against Scott Rueck. He’s and outstanding coach and I always pull for you guys in the tourney. But please don’t sleep on us, we will be better than many people think.

But please don’t sleep on us, we will be better than many people think. Looking just at your top returners and ignoring incoming freshmen, it looks like you go 5'6", 5'10", 5'10", 6'0", and 6'3". Only 2 of your returners look like decent 3-pt shooters. You lost the top player in the nation. Outside of her, you had no one else on the SEC all-conference first team, and only 1 player on the all-conference 2nd team. I just don't see top-10 written on that resume. However, I could be wrong. As to UConn's players, Williams could jump out of the building and didn't play like a 5'11" lady. Collier is an elite player, plus they had 6'6" Stevens who was also an elite player. Your players do not appear to be in the same league. Again, I could be wrong. I hope your team can do well this year. We need to play teams that can challenge our young players.
