Dono could really make a leap in the offseason as well. Get stronger like Clark did, speed up her shot release a bit and pick up some pace change, scoop and floater driving moves that Curry uses on his drives to the hoop and she could become a complete go-to scorer next season That would be great for this team. That would open up a lot of options if teams have to contend with another scorer. Yeah, I agree completely. I made a comment to this effect earlier in this thread. I think the big part of it is you can see flashes of her offensive potential already, so it's not just pure speculation. If she makes a big step up as a scorer, it will make it really difficult for opponents to defend her, Beers and Gardiner, not to mention anyone else who might get a hot hand. This probably should be a topic for a separate thread but OSU was not a great offensive team. The Beavers were 7th in scoring in Pac-12 games (6th for all games). So there's definitely room for improvement and there's no reason to think a freshman like Dono wouldn't be able to make a big difference in that part of the game moving into her sophomore season and beyond.

Reagan Beers needs to look at some photos of Marie Gulich as a senior and the startling changes she made from her sophomore and junior years. That's when she became an unstoppable force.

I realize this season is over but I am still miffed by the terrible officiating in the ND & South Carolina games.
From the Athletic today:
Scott Rueck wasn't happy with the 10-second call on Donovyn Hunter called at the 5:56 mark of the second quarter. It appears he has reason to be. According to the StatBroadcast play-by-play data, Timea Gardiner collected a defensive rebound with 6:04 to play and Hunter was whistled at the 5:56 mark — only eight seconds later. It didn't end up costing Oregon State as Chloe Kitts turned it over on South Carolina's ensuing possession, but still a bit of an odd sequence.
And we know this happened twice in the game vs Notre Dame. What's going on with the NCAA Tournament officiating?

I was in Albany and I couldn’t agree more. I think ND game was worse but the calls in the SC were complete momentum killers. Refs seem to anticipate calls and then call stupid stuff for no reason, like the 10 second clock violation. I definitely don’t want to slow the game down but a couple coach challenges a game would be nice. Traveling seems to be a favorite anticipation call this year.

Coach Rueck mentioned Marie as the best comparison to Raegan. If Rae develops a little fade, step back or simple turn around (from both sides).. she will rock even harder..

Yes---agree---That step back jumper Marie added to her arsenal for her senior season was money out to about 12 ft. and virtually unblockable! RB has the shooting touch and body control to add a step back if she so desires.
