I agree especially if AJ finds her midrange game and/or Coach finds another scorer to spread the load a little bit. Whatever the case, this team can be scary good next season. What do we know about Susana Y's game? She was a bench player for a top JC team---6th or 7th man type---She showed that she could knock down 3's in the JC Tourney and SR was looking for a shooter to fill out a roster at the time of recruitment.

I know nothing about her game. I see Jimbob beat me to it and was way more succinct about it but I agree with his info, here is what I was going to say. I thought I knew some about Suzana Yepes but my notes are missing and all the links to her games, etc have stopped working. Researching her is similar to finding DB Cooper. What little I can tell ya werebeaver is: She played two years at South Georgia Tech University, the Lady Jets, a JC, one of the best women's teams in the NJCAA conference. Her 2nd year they were rated #1 which also meant she had some players ahead of her that got the most mins. I remember her doing well in their post season championship games, hitting a fair number of 3 pointers although the stats don't back me up. Here is her sophomore year stats page: www.njcaa.org/sports/wbkb/2022-23/div1/teams/southgeorgiatechnicalcollege?view=lineupHere is a years highlights but ya gotta look quick to see her, she is #10 in white with the double pony tails.

Just a few thoughts now that things have settled down: SC was the better team but not by much---4 pt. game with 3 and change to go despite our 2 best players being in foul trouble for over half of the game. They basically have 9 starter type players on that team---case in point they went on that 12-0 run in the 2nd quarter with mostly bench players on the floor and the big Cardoso on the bench with 2 fouls.
As far as TVO's shooting woes this season I'm thinking she wasn't able to get up her normal amount of off-season shots last summer because she was laid up recovering from her surgery and also didn't play on the Italy trip because she wasn't ready yet. Overall most of her 3's were just a little bit short this season. Look for her to get up lots of shots this off-season and fix this problem and come back with vengeance next season looking like the 3 pt bomber she previously had proven herself to be!
Finally no-one really mentioned this yet but I thought this was Dono's best overall game of the year----She made some really clutch 3's and made some great passes and handled the ball very well for the most part under big pressure from SC, and played great defense. She looked like a seasoned pg veteran out there!

Dono could really make a leap in the offseason as well. Get stronger like Clark did, speed up her shot release a bit and pick up some pace change, scoop and floater driving moves that Curry uses on his drives to the hoop and she could become a complete go-to scorer next season

That would open up a lot of options if teams have to contend with another scorer.

We were down 4 late and we got wonderful 3 point looks by the shooters we want taking them on 4 strait possessions. The team executed beautifully but in basketball sometime the shot is missed. This team went at the undefeated #1 team in the country and with just a small change in the shooting luck could have shocked the world. A TON to be proud of.

I read the title and feel no need to read the article. I take it, it is not kind to the Beaver's effort. The article is put out by a company called Field Level Media. Their X account says based in Seattle WA. Is the article supposed to be a dig from U of Dub faithful to OSU perhaps because of the realignment crap or just crappy journalism?

I found the article even-handed and, while not flattering to the Beavs, pretty much on point. When you get beat by 12, get out rebounded by double digits, stay close but never take the lead - it's hard not to tilt coverage toward the winner. GO BEAVS!!

Yea, the title/headline is kinda bad, but the article was pretty much what happened in the game, nothing wrong with the article itself.
