I like that we’re playing South Carolina. It just means that for us, our National Championship game is on Sunday.
South Carolina are the unbeaten, prohibitive favorites to take the championship. Unless ‘someone’ takes them down. And if it’s going to be ‘someone’, it might as well be us.

The game is advertised to be broadcast on ABC. It will be but for those that may be cord cutters and get network stations via an antenna but have no way to record the game that way (me), it will also be broadcast on ESPN 3 as well, which I get through Sling and can record it on the Sling provided DVR. Same is true for the first two Sweet 16 games today.
Just sharing incase anyone else might be in that situation.

Cardoso is SC’s dominant player (obviously). Only UNC gave her trouble, holding her to 6 points, 16 rebounds and 5 fouls. How did NC do it? What was their strategy?

I think the key with her (and really any dominant post) is not to allow her to set up deep on the block. Rae is a rare player that has the strength to make that possible against Cardoso. As good as . It's how Vonleh was able to keep Ayoka Lee of KSU 10 points under her scoring average; Vonleh was strong enough to keep Lee from setting up close to the rim. As good as Holmes is for Indiana, she's not nearly as strong as Beers, so I'm hopeful she will have more success against Cardoso than Holmes did.

Here's the entire OSU-SC pregame press conference... The first 16 minutes or so is Rueck and I highly recommend watching that part. Some good questions and Rueck has some really well thought out and interesting answers. Recommend watching the part with TVO and Dono as well. Don't want to leave them out, just really thought Rueck really had some great stuff to say.

I just tried to set up a recording on Sling for the game tomorrow on ESPN 3 and there is no record option. So a little investigating on Google and if found this: "DVR functionality is available for all live content, except for the following channels and streaming content that cannot currently be recorded: Local Now. ESPN3. ACC Network Extra."The game will be broadcast on ESPN 3 but apparently no way to record it on Sling TV, that stinks. I apologize for misleading. Not sure if FUBO or YouTube TV allow recording of ESPN 3 or not so I won't speculate.

When Hakeem Olajuwon was thrashing Shaquille O'Neal in the championship series (way back in the day) the announcer asked Bill Walton how to deal with Hakeem. Bill quickly responded, "Play defense on him before he gets the ball." That's a lot of words to say that you are correct sir. Don't let them get to their spot.

I tend to agree with much of what was written here. While undefeated, this South Carolina team certainly is beatable (in contrast to the UConn team we played in the FF), but I’m also not convinced OSU is the team that can beat them. We’ll have to protect the ball much better than we did against Notre Dame because South Carolina rebounds extremely well and second chance points will be tough to come by. My biggest concern is finding ways to score against their stingy defense anchored by length and athleticism. They’ve scored less than 70 once all year I believe (65 against UNC in November).
