I didn't realize it was on til the 4th quarter. Got to a TV in time to see the last 10 second violation...I think it was more like 8 seconds, wish I had recorded it. The ref looked to be counting seconds with the left hand and did 3 real fast ones as she (? I wasn't paying attention to gender) went for the whistle. Quickest 10 second call I recall seeing, usually I'm shocked that call isn't made more often. I'm curious why it's even still a rule. My understanding is that the rule was originally introduced to prevent stalling. With a shot clock these days, that problem has been eliminated. What's the harm in a team having the ball 40+ feet from their goal if they want? And given the range of shooters these days, I'm not sure over-and back of the half-court line makes sense to keep in the game either. If we have players that can shoot from beyond mid-court consistently (and Clark isn't that far from that ability, let alone players like Curry, Dame, etc), shouldn't those shots be available in a half-court set? My understanding of the over-and-back rule was also to contain the ability to use the full 90 feet for stalling, which again is eliminated by the shot clock.

Beavers & Cocks... Cocks & Beavers... So, so many possible things that could be said! I’ve been hoping for that matchup for decades. Well....you must have been out to lunch then as we have played them 3 times in the last decade not including the game on Sunday. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 San Antonio, TX L 42-59 Friday, November 23, 2018 Vancouver, Canada W 70-68 Tuesday, March 25, 2014 Seattle, WA L 69-78

That particular play and run revealed how well Rueck was managing the game. Westbeld was in foul trouble and guarding beers, so ND switched Westbeld to defending Gardner. Rueck then had Gardner post up and get the ball into her against against Westbeld instead of focusing getting the ball to Beers, knowing that Westbeld likely wouldn't be effective with tentative post defense against Gardner either. I think ND went zone after that timeout.

Obviously OSU knows the rules. Timea has ear and a nose ring in for the interview. No way were those in during the game.
