I didn't realize it was on til the 4th quarter. Got to a TV in time to see the last 10 second violation...I think it was more like 8 seconds, wish I had recorded it. The ref looked to be counting seconds with the left hand and did 3 real fast ones as she (? I wasn't paying attention to gender) went for the whistle. Quickest 10 second call I recall seeing, usually I'm shocked that call isn't made more often.

Just finished watching the recorded game. What was with all the traveling calls? Not sure if somebody said something to the refs before the game, but they really watched Beers. Several didn't look like traveling to me. I saw a couple double dribbles/traveling by Hidalgo they didn't call. Seemed to focus completely on Beers. The first 10 second call was too fast. The shot clock was still at 20 when we passed over half court. Other than that, I thought it was pretty well officiated. They let some physical play go, which we can expect. Pac-12 usually just calls it tighter.
I thought Hunter and TVO did fairly well with their ball handling. They made some turnovers, but they also made some incredible passes into the post. Those pressure teams have always gave us problems, usually because we just don't have a pure PG until this year. Louisville still gives me nightmares.

Where did I post that I thought the refs were biased for Notre Dame? I have no problem admitting that I don't think highly of college women's basketball officiating in general. If OSU had lost, it would have been due to too many turnovers Seriously?? 1) Read my post again. “Complaining.” 2) I counted 9-10, but who’s counting? Oh, I guess I am. But they won, so all is well. 1. I thought you were implying that I was complaining about biased officiating and so would keep complaining had OSU lost. 2. So what? It's a message board.

well, we all know what comes next. Cocks versus Beavers. Personally, I hope the Beavers whip the Cocks.

I think we can beat south cryolina. We match up post wise better then most teams. Coroso made 22 points but with beers and our other bigs it could be more like ten points against us. Unless the refs become south carolinas sixth man on the court. Lets do this!

I’ve looked at it a couple times on replay. Looks like (to me at least) she crosses halfcourt right at 9 seconds.

Was reading a Notre Dame WBB Blog and there is a lot of discussion on Hidalgo's nose ring. Many at this blog site view this as a turning point and some stating it was Coach Rueck who called it out to the officials. Have no idea what is the truth, but regardless, very little chatter about OSU being the reason ND didn't win the game. I did notice that Coach Ivey never congratulated OSU in her post game presser.

Have no idea what is the truth, but regardless, very little chatter about OSU being the reason ND didn't win the game. I did notice that Coach Ivey never congratulated OSU in her post game presser. In the post game press conference, Scott was asked what he knew about the nose ring situation and he said he didn't even know about it and said the first he heard about it was when the reporter asked him about it. Also, that was at the beginning of the second quarter. How does Hidalgo and ND use that as an excuse for her poor shooting the entire rest of the game including the second half, that is ridiculous. We just plain whipped 'em. If it wasn't for all the turnovers (a lot of them self inflicted) the game would have been a blowout.
