Much better conference, but uw and wsu also had losing conference records. Right. So if A&M had a losing record in conference, why are they in but the 2 Washington schools aren't? A&M's best wins are against Kansas and Tennessee. That's nowhere near as good as WSU (Gonzaga, UCLA and Colorado) or UW (USC, Oregon St. and Utah). TAMU's wins just meant more. Haven't you learned anything yet about how college sports work?

And it's interesting that Texas A & M has Endyia Rogers, yet another Duck refugee in the Corvallis regional. When you add in Paopao, Scherrer, Dugalic, and Kylee Watson you begin to get an idea of why the Ducks ended up where they did this year.

Is George Orwell involved? All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.
I'm painfully aware that SEC teams get breaks when it comes to post season inclusion, in all sports, and has been that way for quite some time.

I don't like it either, but lets see, 18-22 year olds making decisions for themselves that they feel will better their lives. Vs an anonymous poster who wants to go troll a bunch of college students. Who's the malcontent? Like I said, I don't like the new rules either, but it worked out for them, and obviously worked out for us, let it go. Go Beavers!! Call me petty, but I did enjoy seeing Taylor having the Big 12 championship ripped away from her by a teammate. She had the winning rebound in hand that would have secured the win and conference championship, and her teammate poked it away from her that set up the winning shot for OU. Taylor was also the only one to contest the winning shot. You can see her lay into her teammate after the horn. www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/39620301Taylor was obviously frustrated about it but she shouldn't have layed into her teammate---it was just an unfortunate basketball play where both players were going hard for the rebound and both got their hands on it at the same time and it popped away.

I just think it is interesting that both the men's teams and the women's team from Nebraska and Texas A&M play each other on the same day....Friday. When has something like that ever happened in an NCAA first round game(s)?

While you can't look past anybody, and I know Nebraska made it to the Big 10 championship game, I keep coming back to to the fact that we've played 12 games against top 20 teams, and 7 games against teams that are 1 or 2 seeds in this tournament.
Nobody that we will play is as battle hardened as we are; nobody is going to scare us; nobody's reputation is going to have us beaten before the whole 40 minutes is played. And, in the first 2 rounds, nobody is going to have better fan support.
We're going to win these 2 fairly handily, and then we'll see what happens in Albany.
Albany, by the way, seems a lousy choice to host these regionals, which explains why the NCAA picked it. It's over 100 miles from New York City, and is not a booming, vibrant place, I don't know how far it is from Storrs, but I think it's a pretty good haul. There are no other major women's teams in the vicinity, nor have there been. In short, local interest is probably not going to be rabid.

For those attending the Friday game at 5:00, remember that OSU baseball also has a 7:00 game against UW. So street parking spaces may be few and far between- literally.

And did I see it right, Women's Final Four in Cleveland? Cleveland Rocks! I understand that, as a special promotional deal for the Final Four, they're going to reenact the river catching on fire. That should be really special for those too young to have seen it the first time.

Beavermobile would be making a Cleveland Steamer reference daily to honor this year's Final Four location.
