Beavers not playing in Portland but Greta Kampschroeder, Kennedie Brown and Taylor Jones might be, not that any of that excites me. Who wants to go and troll those malcontents?

I don't think anyone should do that, that's not Beaver Nation nor was I hinting at such a thing. Just making an observation.

This is looking WAY ahead but I was just realizing that Tvo was the only current player that was part of the South Carolina loss. Of course Aleah was in that game as well. It's interesting to look back at that game and see how it was really their athleticism that made the difference. If we do get that far, this team is certainly better matched physically than that team was. Not counting chickens, just imagining (and hoping) we do get to play SC again. If we get that far I'd be hoping south carolina is knocked off before then.

I don't like it either, but lets see, 18-22 year olds making decisions for themselves that they feel will better their lives. Vs an anonymous poster who wants to go troll a bunch of college students. Who's the malcontent? Like I said, I don't like the new rules either, but it worked out for them, and obviously worked out for us, let it go. Go Beavers!!

Call me petty, but I did enjoy seeing Taylor having the Big 12 championship ripped away from her by a teammate. She had the winning rebound in hand that would have secured the win and conference championship, and her teammate poked it away from her that set up the winning shot for OU. Taylor was also the only one to contest the winning shot. You can see her lay into her teammate after the horn. www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/39620301

EWU lost by two points to the Zags in November, then later by eight to Cal. Closer to home, they thumped PSU by 24. The Beavs should definitely win this one, but EWU is not to be overlooked for sure. And sorry, but (me) as a New Yorker, why can't a national-level sports announcer on ESPN properly pronounce Albany? It's ALL-bany, not AL-bany (like the guy's name AL). I cringed the first time she hacked it at the top of the hour, but worse, no one corrected her - producers use that IFB earpiece where they can talk to the TV announcers during the show. She went on to hack the pronunciation at least five more times, so I guess pronunciation accuracy didn't matter to those in charge. I'm sure that many Oregonians noticed too, given that Albany, Oregon is pronounced the same as Albany, New York. Well, at least she didn't say Ore-GON - she got that one right instead.
My spouse just informed me that later in the show she did correct it, but still...
That show originated from ESPN's facilities in Bristol, Connecticut, a state that borders New York. Since Albany is the capital of New York, everybody in Bristol hears it said several times per week or more. It is pretty astounding that, since the announcers were going to be saying Albany and Portland throughout the show, they could let that happen. Since we might be playing Notre Dame in the 3rd round, a story about their equivalent to Ron Callan. We played them several years ago in some tournament in Vancouver, BC, and the games were broadcast on some pay per view option that was pretty bad. They used Notre Dame's guy, and, even though we had played them previously, he couldn't be bothered to learn proper pronunciations of names. He continually referred to our coach as Scott Ruck (rhymes with luck0, Mikayla Pivec was Pie-vec, and Joanna Grymek was Gry (like pie)-mek. He did it for the entire game - just completely unprofessional. She also pronounced Holy Cross as Holly Cross.

She’s obviously not a Catholic.

Once again, Holy Cross is located in Massachusetts, yet another state that borders Connecticut. People in Connecticut will have heard of it their entire lives, just as an Oregonian would have heard of Cal Tech. Really extremely poor broadcasting.

Nebraska is a hot and cold team who has had mixed results this season, but they can be very dangerous. Markowski might even have the size to be a decent matchup for Beers. Jaz Shelley who started her career at Oregon seemingly a long time ago is one of their stars.
Texas A&M imo has absolutely no business being in the Tourney, but the SEC always gets more teams than they deserve. Aggies were 6-10 in conference, and they don't have anywhere near the quality of wins of Pac 12 teams Washington St. and Washington who both got left out, if you can ignore sub .500 conference records. Stinkin' SEC.

A&M's best wins are against Kansas and Tennessee. That's nowhere near as good as WSU (Gonzaga, UCLA and Colorado) or UW (USC, Oregon St. and Utah).
