Wow, Talia really did a number on Juju. I don't understand how Juju can be so right hand dependent and be the type of scorer she is. Timea outscored her 22 to 16 with literally half Juju's scoring attempts.
With Beers rebounding the Beav's win this game. But one of the teams weaknesses is the lack of boxing out by the guards. Talia is the only one that gets it. Lily and AJ really need to work on it.

But then us fans would have missed all that Friday night “fun”. I’ve seen literally thousands of basketball games in person and have never witnessed another ending that dramatic. I’ll never forget that game as long as I live. Crazy weekend. Hope we can get Rae back on the court sooner rather than later.

Talia in this game was 1/11 in shooting, but she also had 7 rebounds, 10 assists with no TO's, and led both teams in blocks and steals. Not good shooting but she did everything else she could to win this game.

USC is quick and athletic, but we held them to 31% from the floor (32.4 the first time we played them). Somebody mentioned Talia's defense on JuJu, but, when she was guarding her, I thought Dom did outstanding work too.
We lost that game on the boards, but, had Raegan been available, I don't think Marshall would have been so dominant. That's the way of it though.
On the bright side, Timea had 22 points (all in the second half) and 9 boards. That's the third game in a row she's set a career high in scoring. Tell me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't she be a lock for the conference sixth man of the year award?
Average attendance for the 6 home conference games that were open to the public is 6,241. That's encouraging.

The players have always said because they are so close, they can get on each other and hold each other accountable. Another example of Talia being a leader and speaking up in a firm yet positive way I thought. ..."'o boards in the 4th qtr killed us and that's unacceptable. I was really dissapointed in that from my team so I think just going forward I predict that's not going to happen again and I'm taking accountability for that and making sure that we have five box outs every possession and I dont want to lose the boards one more time this year." a bit later in the interview... "The leadership needs to come from everyone, I feel like there were definitely moments I felt like I wanted it more than my teammates and that's never what you want to feel. As a leader I feel like we needed to step up more in certain areas, rebounding, I'll say it again. Like I said, I predict that's not going to happen again and we learned our lesson there."

Those aren't great quotes. Probably best kept in private.

I don't have any problem with her words, just seems like it should be said in private to the team. Not in the press conference.
