This offense is bonkers on paper. On paper we have the 3 best WRs we have every had in our entire history, by a long shot. FWIW, i am not on X or whatever, but he tweeted "Corvallis, I am here!" with some beaver emotes and build the dam hashtag. That was about 3 hours ago.

I'm struggling to square that with the TJ and Chad year - were they not that highly rated? I don't really recall, it seems like Chat was highly rated but huge knocks for academic struggles.

Hodgins was a 4 star (90 on 257) when he came to campus. Clemons would be the highest rated all time. 3 of the top 5 highest rated ever arriving for fall ball is very intriguing! Not to mention they will be playing mostly MWC teams.

They were both big time JUCO commits. Ratings weren't really a thing back then, definitely not for JUCO.

Yeah, it is tough because back in 2000 we just didn't have the services that rank these players like we do now. We didn't have databases of analyst opinions and consensus rankings and all that jazz. I think he was certainly well thought of, other than academics. but it is hard to place him as a recruit with what we have now, as recruits. Time will tell of course on their performance.

On paper, this is the best core of WR we've had as recruits.

Card, Durant, Reddicks, East, Wells, Valsin and Noga should all be ready to challenge for a starting job. Who knows who else might break out.

I paid for a subscription to JCFootball.com and the friggin coaches used to post there back in the day lol. They would even answer questions from the board regulars about what schools were sniffing around etc. It was super hard to find information and you had to mine it daily because 100% of the information was buried in post after post - there was absolutely zero for a searchable database.
