Im done with caring about the NBA. Its pretty much a joke now. You have the best player handpicking his team. You've got the other best players banding against him. The rest of the league can just kiss their ass. The regular season is long and meaningless. The players are spoiled and generally selfish. Team play is non existent until the playoffs and even then their is no suspense about where the ring is going.
F the lakers.

You can’t use the metaphor the inmates running the asylum anymore. But you can choose to not watch!

While I generally agree with you, I do remember the same exact things being said back when it was Lakers/Celtics or the Bulls dynasty.. and then again when Miami had the big three.. (why watch/regular season meaningless/just give them the ring). I'll say this though - at least there are some teams showing they have a plan. I'm talking to you Olshey!!!!I commend LeBron on choosing to be eliminated in the western conference finals this time around. Longer vacation, more family time, 4-5 less games on those legs. Good move.

I hate the NBA, don't ever watch it and have not for almost 30 years, but why shouldn't LeBron be able to choose where he wants to work? If you're a talented engineer and 30 different firms want you to work for them, wouldn't you pick the place that's best for you? No different for a pro athlete.
Pro sports is a cutthroat business. It's not fun and games at that level.

Not a comment about any of the above posters or their love/hate with pro sports...
But... WHO CARES? WHO REALLY CARES???
Despise the NBA more than any of the pro sports leagues... COMBINED!!! Morphed into nothing but high paid street ball... and I'd rather visit Rucker, Dyckman, Venice Beach, Mosswood Park, Jackson Park, 16th and Philly... any of those site to watch great athletes than the effing NBA.
PS- although my son does love a Blazer game and buying tix to hang with him is more than worth attending!

Any possibility you are lacking some imagination there or may even be jaded? Just wondering. Might delay the onset of old age if you can find an appreciation for

Lakers were able to give him the largest offer due to cap space, all about the money. They will be a playoff contender, but nothing more. He couldn't get Chris Paul or Paul George to follow him. Yeah, they could still get Kawahi, but they need another all-star if they're going to win in the west.

I enjoy hanging with family and can enjoy what they do without being critical of it with them. But, it's now a travesty of the rules... just the carries, BS "eurostep"/traveling, and refereeing is too much to stomach.
