Errors! didnt think this team would ever need it but channeling my little league coach here:
not naming names but some of you guys need to bone up on your fundamentals, you are trying to glove grounders instead of moving your feet to square up to the ball with your glove down. If you have your feet ready to move at contact you will get to the ball with more time and you might not lift your head and miss the ball. Pitchers, third basemen, shortstops you can all do a better job of moving your feet to field your position.
First baseman, if you are playing the line, nothing gets by you, only over you. Almost playing the line is the same as not playing the line dig it?
Outfielders, go out and walk the wall from dugout to dugout with your eyes on home so you know where you are. Yeah there's a wall there, its your friend because that's where you can stop running and go get the ball.
Outfielders, if you can get to the ball, call off the infielder. Infielder if the outfielder calls it STOP and go back where you came from. RIP Scott Halbrook. Wish you were here to see your beavs now. What happened that day on Coleman field was totally preventable. (Had a bad bad flashback last night when Cadyn collided with Anderson. )
Hitters, when you bunt, go into your squat earlier, dont be so concerned with not tipping off the pitcher that you dip down too late and lose your bat level. Bat on TOP of ball always.
Hitters, if you hit a pop up over home plate just stand there and dont run to first so if it somehow drops FAIR you can be tagged out right there. Sorry sarcasm.
Might need to win a 1 run game at some point kids!
