Maybe it's me but I find the post game questions insane. All sports all the time. They don't direct players or coaches to be specific. I would love to ask Adley if he thought it was out of the park. Stuff like that. Most coaches and players are not communication majors. They hem and haw, say um and uh alot and don't really get anywhere. Would love to ask Casey about pitch counts, days rest. Again, lead the partipants. Journalists suck.

I’m still trying to figure out why Casey put Kwan in to pinch hit for Nobach. Rutschman was already in scoring position. Kwan might not have been able to run with speed.
So why did NC give Kwan a free pass? To set up a double play ball? Maybe.

Coach Fox didn't have an answer to that question in the post game press conference...

Agree. I thought the key AB was Grenier's 11-pitch battle, to load the bases before Adley's double. That was huge to load the bases, keep the momentum. I think he was on the stage, why not ask him?

I also thought the lead-off single by our #9 hitter was HUGE. That really got us in position to do some damage with the top of the line up. Way to go Zak Taylor!

So why did NC give Kwan a free pass? To set up a double play ball? Maybe. He put Kwan in because he's Steven F'n Kwan and even Bill Brasky and Chuck Norris would have had to walk him - and maybe Kyle's knees were starting to bother him......seriously it did set up a force play, so it made sense to walk him. But it also, as the TV guys said, in forcing the walk, it meant that the top of the order was going to get a chance in the 9th, and Nick led off with a double in the 9th, so it's all good.

Whatever the reason, I hope Kwan can play in the remaining games. We will need him.

Wish they would have asked Casey about his son getting a hit.

Wish they would have asked Casey about his son getting a hit. I agree. I do think you could see a bit of humor from PC after the hit. He turned his back to the field and it looked like he had a rare grin on his face. One thing I liked from tonight's presser is the last question when the reporter from Mississippi asked how well we hit lefties. "You really think I'm going to tell you that? (funny faces) No I'm just teasing."

Wish they would have asked Casey about his son getting a hit. Indeed - he must have done his batting practice for that one in the sand traps at Trysting Tree.
