Watch the runner. He knows it's foul.

- Apologies if I missed it. Did PC discuss what happened on the Armstrong bunt attempt? - Feels like no one has mentioned Mulholland being absolutely nails for 3 innings. Completely shut them down, despite getting hosed on a couple of those walks. Looks like he threw 42 pitches. Would think he can go again on Friday. - Love ya Jack, but we need Kwan in that enormous CF. I think I would take Kwan at 80%. - Still not down on Luke. 2 swinging bunt hits, an error and a bad zone - didn't pitch nearly as bad as his line. Hope Luke isn't down on Luke. - Fair/Foul - I still have no idea, but all I know is that just about every time a questionable call comes up in the CWS, we're told that that type of play isn't reviewable. Baffles me. The ball was foul. It was foul. The replay showed it definitively. The broadcast team agreed it was foul. It was never fair during it's entire course of travel. That was a missed call that allowed two runs to score. The replay clearly showed it being fair initially (it hit inside the foul line). It probably was foul going over first, however, but a difficult ball for the ump to judge at that point.

Kersting, I see the laser comment above. Obviously an interesting idea, However, where would you point the laser ? Every angle I can imagine that could possibly be effective, would end up potentially blinding the fielder or the base runner. Hopefully, there is another technology that can define 'space' without the potential for harm.

Foul ball ! the ball lands about 25-30 feet past the bag and is 12 -15 inches into foul territory. in order for the ball to have crossed over the corner of the bag it would have had to have a lot of spin on it in order to curve that much, yet when it hits the ground it stays on a straight line. if you draw a line from where the ball first bounces by home plate to its first bounce in foul territory and following bounces, the ball never deviates from that straight line. a ball with enough curve in it to cross the bag would hook toward the grandstand. the ump was too close to have any kind of perspective on a ball that high, home plate ump would have had the best look. never though I would miss the Pac 12 umpires.

Every angle I can imagine that could possibly be effective, would end up potentially blinding the fielder or the base runner. Hopefully, there is another technology that can define 'space' without the potential for harm. You wouldn't need lasers, or sharks. You could do this with a two-camera set up for each line. The first one pointed down the foul line. The second one pointed at first from 2nd base "line". You would then sync the two cameras. You would stop the cameras when you could see the ball over the first base in second camera and determine if its fair or foul by the position of the ball in the first camera. The cameras would have to be dead on the lines though, not like the one we saw last night. It wouldn't be that hard, theoretically speaking of course. You could enhance the accuracy by putting a vertical cross-hair which would vertically project the foul lines and base lines.

My day after random thoughts are that this trip to Omaha has been the event of a lifetime for myself, my son and my dad. I hope we win out, but if it all ends tomorrow I've got no complaints. (At least until I look at the credit card statement) It's one thing for us to whack the ducks late in a mid week game. It's another completely to do it to the Huskies and Tar Heels on consecutive games in Omaha. The atmosphere was crazy last night. Thanks Beavs, thanks Beaver Nation!

Last 2 games the crowd has been awesome. Can really hear them on the radio (MP) Last night instead of Let's Go Beavers it morphed into Let's go Gretler. LOL
