BEAU PHILIP INF 6’0” 190 B-R / T-R EL DORADO HILLS, CA. - OAK RIDGE HS / STOCKTON, CA. - SAN JOAQUIN DELTA C.C.
Beau Philip is a middle infielder that has played SS in high school and junior college. Philip played his first two years of HS baseball at Fair Oaks-Bella Vista HS, then transfered to El Dorado Hills- Oak Ridge HS for his final two seasons. Following high school he played at San Joaquin Delta CC in Stockton for two years. He will attend OSU for his final two seasons of baseball (has 3 years to play 2). Philip has made remarkable progress in the past two years at nationally ranked Delta CC. He’s gone from a slick fielding – singles hitting prep shortstop to a first team All California CC SS that drives the ball out of the yard with some regularity. Philip is a nice blend of both speed and quickness. He excels at the art of base stealing (65 of 71 attempts career) and is a quick-twitch guy in the field. He has soft hands, a powerful arm and good range at SS. A high character guy and team leader, Philip is expected to compete for a role somewhere in the Beaver’s 2019 lineup.
