That's what I have always thought, and said. Is OSU getting to the point where Omaha is a legit goal for 3 out of every 4 or 5 years, or is that a little too tall an order for any school?

It's how you build a dynasty, like Ohio State in football. High expectations and fulfilling those expectations creates a huge fan base and makes recruiting easier. The Beavers did well without Madrigal after he was injured. This means, we have a program where the next man up is a legit contender for the spot. We are reloaded and ready to go. Sure we will miss those who leave our program at the end of this year, but the future looks pretty bright. Keep it coming!

As a fan, I take it as a good year. The players will obviously be disappointed in anything less than winning it all.

Oregon started up their current baseball team in 2009. Three years later, they did something that Oregon State had never done, lose a home Super Regional. Losing a home Super Regional is not a successful season in my estimation. Oregon State has won two National Championships. Other teams have won two, but over the past 20 years, Oregon State is tied for the most championships. The past 12 seasons, Oregon State has made it to the College World Series Semifinal four times. No team has made it to that thresh-hold more often. Winning at least two in Omaha with a top four finish is always a successful season. Losing a home Super Regional feels very..........Oregonesque.

Making the playoffs makes it a successful season. Making it to a Super Regional makes it a very good season. Getting to Omaha makes it a great season.
Winning it all --- orgasmic season!

Naah, too obvious.

I look forward to winning Friday, and Saturday, and getting to Omaha.... this team is very special. Even though record was better last year. That was ridiculous. Filthy. But I keep telling myself to watch, appreciate, and enjoy this team. It’s special.
I’ll worry about whether it was a successful season later....
