Anybody know when our Super Regional dates are announced? The PA announcer said we start Friday after the LSU game last night, but Jim Wilson on the post-game show said that it will be announced later which supers are Friday-Sunday and Saturday-Monday. Trying to make plans for attending but kind of tough to do so when I don't know if there's a game this Friday yet.

Later today....each "side" starts at the same time and with 4 spots still open on the "left side" of the bracket, historically NCAA has pushed the more delayed side to Sat/Sun/Mon which would likely make us Fri/Sat/Sun....heard from someone else in the know that we'll be Fri/Sat/Sun as well fwiw

I'm pretty sure they need to wait until the remainder of the regional games finish before they can assign time slots. Florida/FAU, Duke/Georgia are underway and Ole Miss/Tennessee Tech elimination game set for 4:00pm PST.

Tennessee Tech, a very weak two is up on Ole Miss in the eighth. Florida-Florida Atlantic will likely be the last game of the Regionals. Once the Florida game is decided, they will probably set the Super Regionals. I would guess that, if Florida wins, they will go Friday-Sunday and Minnesota-Oregon State will go Saturday-Monday. If Florida loses, I would guess that Minnesota-Oregon State goes Friday-Sunday. Just a guess, looking at the bracket.

I really hope the 2 PM start time doesn’t affect the crowd size by much, we need to capitalize on the home field advantage.

A Friday start sets up better for a title shot. Friday-Saturday-Sunday with a Saturday start in Omaha. That gives Oregon State's side of the bracket an extra day to recover for the semifinal game(s) and set up for a Championship Series. This is a great thing! (Other than, y'know, having to play at 2 p.m. on a Friday.) Who starts? Fehmel or Heimlich? I would personally start Fehmel on full rest, instead of starting Heimlich on short rest. Thoughts?

Interesting time slot with so few games being played West of the Mississippi. I would figure us for the 5pm time slot. It is 5pm, 5pm E(SPN)astern Tim Zone As for starter, right now it doesn't matter, both Bryce and Luke were First Team all-Pac-12 selections. But Bryce will be ready and Luke likes that extra day of rest.

I don't think Tennessee Tech is a very weak two seed even before they beat Ole Miss. They are a good ball club. Don't be surprised if they make it to the CWS Before the Tournament, I rated Tennessee Tech the second-softest two-seed. The Eagles had a 28-game winning streak in the middle of the season, but they dropped a series to Troy and got bounced from the Ohio Valley Tournament by Morehead State. The Rebels were a quality ball club but overrated. (They were worthy of a National Seed, but #4 overall?) The Oxford Regional was rained out on Friday, so all games took place from Saturday-Monday. Travis Moths started on Saturday and threw 5 2/3. Moths returned in middle relief twice on Monday striking out three (two with the bases loaded). Tennessee Tech's true closer, Ethan Roberts threw 3 1/3 on Saturday to get the win against Missouri State. Roberts returned to start on Monday and threw 7 2/3 to pick up a second win. That enabled Tennessee Tech to use its true fourth starter Devin Lancaster on Monday in the finale. If Tennessee Tech gets to the College World Series, they could cause some havoc, because they have about four quality arms with two true rubber quality arms. However, they need to go 2-0 in Austin; otherwise, they are going to be running on fumes. Fun fact, Tennessee Tech is the first Ohio Valley Conference team to ever win a Regional.

Interesting time slot with so few games being played West of the Mississippi. I would figure us for the 5pm time slot. Be glad that you aren't Cal State Fullerton and Washington. 11 a.m. PT start. The games on Friday are basically scheduled to start one after the other. Stetson @ North Carolina is game 1. Washington @ Cal State Fullerton is game 2. Minnesota @ Oregon State is game 3. Mississippi State @ Vanderbilt is the nightcap. SEC bias? Probably. Minnesota-Oregon State is a bigger draw than Washington-Cal State Fullerton. That says.........something. After looking at the schedule and the weather report, I am tempted to switch Heimlich and Fehmel. Plus, Saturday looks like it will have the worst weather, 50% chance of precipitation. Fehmel is a better night pitcher and a better wet-ball pitcher. The rain only seems to slow Heimlich down. Unlike most other teams, I do not think that Minnesota is going to get rattled with a rain-soaked 46-degree game.
