Abel is starting.
Hopefully he will be in control and throwing strikes from pitch one.
Over the course of the season, I think they have tried to get his emotions in check while on the mound....looks to me like the kid is better(not perfect) when he just goes out and is the passionate emotional young man that comes naturally...big game, I'd suspect he is up to the task if they just let him go....

With 1 more win needed the pitching staff is set up very well. The bullpen has only thrown 41 pitches so far this weekend (20 were by Tweedt).
Eisert looked really good last night. His off speed command was like Luke's should have been. 15 pitches: 12 strikes. 2 SO, 1 ground out.
Was really glad Pat/Nate only used Eisert for just 1 inning. He could be the key if 6th or 7th inning relief tonight is necessary (or even 5th??).

The interesting aspect to Abel's recent success is improved fastball command. His breaking ball command hasn't been as good, but 94 with command up-down and in-out will win games.

I don't like thinking what would need to be done tomorrow, so let's finish this tonight, boys!

If I recall properly, LSU didn't have much trouble hitting our fastballs last year. It was Fehmel with his stuff that they couldn't hit.

And LSU had trouble with the NWS starter today who threw soft stuff.
