Ten SEC teams in the playoffs shows the competition we face on a weekly basis is top notch. Most of the best pitchers leave before their senior season so being Number 1 is really subjective. I don't know all of the names of all the pitchers we face so I won't be throwing out any names! This just shows the East Coast Bias by the NCAA! Why else do you suppose that they put EVERY West Coast Team on the Same side of the Bracket??? Bueller??? Bueller??? Bueller??? There is EC bias... depending on where you draw the line there are far more D1 programs in the East than on the WC. Of the 101 or so colleges that have appeared in the CWS (since 1947), only 19-20 schools are Zona west. Hence, a proportionate number of EC teams have a high probability to make the field of 64. They have to be placed somewhere. If WC seeds 2-4 were sent east, east teams would have to travel too. Because of conference tourneys travel is a factor placing seeds. It's not perfect, but not bias. And... they're "regionals"... most teams did not have to travel much with less than a week after most conference tourneys. UW travelling clear across the country and NW St./LSU to OSU are extremes in a quick look. Regionals are matched by seeds... do you have a huge complaint on the seedings? Supers have also been about geography many times... it's been pretty random over the years and West coast teams that are good enough have made it no matter where they end up... beat the best to be the best.

Epic game begins in 4 hours at Goss Staduim. OSU (PAC 12) vs. LSU (SEC). Winner will be just ONE victory away from a Super Regional. On the mound, Heimlich (OSU) and Hess (LSU). May it be a fair and spirited contest. 7 pm Pacific Time. ESPN 2.

I hope Luke intentionally loads the bases in the first inning and then strikes out the next 3 just to make a point. Game over. Risky, but I like it!
Edit - 10 mins after my post this morning, a business associate/ fellow beaver fan sent me a text - would I like to go to the game this evening? Seems he had two extra tickets - yahoooo!!!! Nothing better than seeing the best pitcher in the country downing the kitty cats!! Bump

Tonight is certainly a personal embarrassment to me as a lifelong fan of our Beavers. I guess wins mean more than doing the right thing. But then again, the pedovores are rampant throughout the country so maybe it’s just not a big deal anymore. Sad! I made an account just to call you out as a fake beavers fan. You have 1 post and now you call out Luke Heimlich as if its new news. Where have you been all season, bud? Go back to tiger droppings. Hella quick approval for a brand new account

Ah the ole switcheroo huh? You Northwesterners sure are a sneaky bunch. You state every week you play as good a pitcher as Heimlich based on draft prospect your defined criteria. LSU does play Alabama and Tennessee, just want to know what pitchers on their respective teams are as good as the two time PAC 12 pitcher of the year. And those names are? I'm back with a couple of names for you that are as good as LH maybe their record is not 14-1 but they play a tougher schedule in the SEC and LSU has faced them mind you there are more that I didn't name. Brady Singer Fla, Casey Mize Auburn, Ryan Rolison Ole Miss, Jackson Kowar Fla.

Tonight is certainly a personal embarrassment to me as a lifelong fan of our Beavers. "Lifelong fan"...with an account creation in the past 24 hours. And to think! We all could have been the beneficiaries for the past several years of your ultimate wisdom.. .I feel cheated. Back on the diamond: Who do Beaver fans think will DH tonight against the hard-throwing right hander (Hess)? I'm thinking the Pride of Roseville CA - Tyler Malone. Also, wouldn't be nice to see Larnach, and Adley (batting left) get really untracked?...supposed to be about 76 degrees at gametime

Or just blowing SEC bravado without thinking about it?

How does the LSU middle infield compare to OSU?
Is there any college SS / 2B duo in the nation (besides Grenier / Madrigal) that could turn that DP we saw last night? No wonder they were the Team USA duo last summer.

Played northwestern the same week we played Bama! I said weekly basis not weekend. But you are just nitpicking the fact that Good pitching exists in the SEC more then in the Piece A Cake 12!

There's no doubt that LSU is a great team, and one that is peaking at the right time. Also, no doubt that the SEC is a tough league. I would also say there is an East Coast bias when it comes to the NCAA and television. $$$$$$ makes the world go 'round.

Lineups have been posted. As far as OSU ‘movable parts’: Nobach LF, Malone DH Loading up with power, then. Nice! I would like to see Dale launch another one. And Malone could start his streak of 5 homers in 5 games all over again.
