Does anyone know how many bunt base hits Steven Kwan has this year? For his career? Is there a site or database that even tracks these things? Do they track bunting FOR a base hit vs. sac bunts that are just so good that they turn into hits? (seems like runner on or not would clue you into that last one).
TIA

TIA You would probably have to contact Hank Hager to get such detailed information - I don't think it is easily publicly available, but I'm quite sure OSU tracks that stat. A site like Fangraphs would have it for MLB teams, but I don't think they track NCAA teams. A sac bunt so good that it turns into a hit is always considered a hit. On the other hand, I believe the official scorer could deny you a sacrifice if he believes that your bunt attempt with a runner on base (that turns into the batter getting out) was an attempt to get a hit instead of an attempt at a sacrifice. I don't think that scoring happens often, but I do believe it is up to the discretion of the official scorer.

I would bet that Cadyn Grenier probably has more this year. He had a lot during his massive hit streak.
