with Columbia, Gonzaga and Houston coming to Corvallis. Bracket opposite Eastern Carolina.
Meanwhile, maybe someone here could explain to me how Florida could still be the #1 seed....they've lost something like seven (or so) consecutive games. If that was the Beavs and we'd lost seven in a row, we'd be out of the top 50! But, of course, SEC teams are God's gift to college baseball.

My guess, Fl, Furd, Miss, BEAVERS
RPI is everything, and that sets up a crazy final 4 if everything works out

If Columbia is in our Regional. . . . .where are Cuba and Venezuela headed? Colombia is the country. Colombia and Columbia both derive from Cristoforo Colombo, who was the first non-Viking European explorer to sail to the New World and back in 1492. Colombo's surname in Italian and Spanish contains two o's. Colombo's suname in Latin, Christophorus Columbus, only contains one "o." The name "Christopher Columbus" is an Anglicized version of the Latin version of Colombo's name. (Understand that the English were bigoted against the Spanish, stupid, and wrong.) "Columbia" was one of the proposed names for what is currently known as the United States of America. (This is one of the reasons why the District of Columbia--originally Territory of Columbia--is called what it is.) Columbia, the school, was known as King's College prior to the War. Classes were suspended in 1776, prior to the successful English invasion of New York City. England held New York City until November 25, 1783, almost three months after the war had ended. No classes were held until 1784 by which time New York had become the capital of the 13 colonies. Prior to the beginning of classes in 1784, the school voted to change its name from King's College to Columbia College after the presumed new name of the country. It is interesting to note that Columbia, the River, was named after a Massachusetts-built boat named the Columbia Redviva, captained by the American, Robert Gray. Gray was the first explorer to realize that the Columbia was a river. (The Spaniard, Bruno de Heceta, was probably the first European to sail past the Columbia in 1775 but thought that it was a bay.) The United States claimed the Oregon Country based on Gray's discovery.
