I missed it a month ago. Ten verbals for 2019. Ten verbals for 2020. One for 2021. The 2021 guy(Guerra) is just finishing his freshman year. Lol.

Mason Guerra announced earlier this spring. I laughed, he's not weighing any options is he? - eager to be a Beaver. Mason is a highly promising RHP/IF that stood 6-2 and weighed 172 early in his freshman year. He's in line to be Westview's next big talent in line with Kelly, Yovan and Weiss. Best part for us is we get to watch him develop right here in our back yard.

Good for you - nice catch.
I think that's a new one.
The coaches love the prospects playing in the WesCo 3A and 4A leagues as well as the South Puget Sound league and . The surrounding areas of Everett and Tacoma are happy hunting grounds for the Beaver recruiters.

Quick note on Westview freshman slugger and OSU commit, Mason Guerra - from the Oregonian!
Westview 5, West Linn 3 "Westview bounced back from a 3-1 deficit with a four-run sixth inning as the No. 1 seed survived. Willie Weiss got the sixth inning off to a fast start with a solo homer, but Mason Guerra provided the big blow, a bases-clearing double to give the Wildcats the lead. Guerra had two hits and drove in four runs. Weiss pitched a complete-game seven-hitter, striking out eight."

UPDATE: Mason had another big game at the plate following the win over West Linn. His bat is on fire and he ignited Westview's offense innthe semi-final. He will showcase his skills on Saturday in Volcano Stadium in Kaiser at 5pm. Westview plays Clackamas for the Oregon 6A title.

Thank you for the info. Guerra is just a freshman so this is even more impressive.

Thank you for the info. Guerra is just a freshman so this is even more impressive. It's sometimes hard to gauge those kids who mature so quickly. 6'2" and 172 lbs by the time he's 15 means he's probably been the biggest and strongest kid playing for most of his baseball career. He seems to be doing well in HS against kids 1-3 years older than him, now. So... I'm sure we all know a kid or two who reached their full adult height at age 14. Topping out at 6'2" is a lot better than 5'6".
