Taylor Kalmer has transferred to San Diego State. Wish her well, as she will be a good edition to that team. That also opens up a spot to recruit another athlete. I'm sure SR is already on top of things.

I'm sure SR is already on top of things. SDSU WBB was 11-19 last season. 5-13 in the MWC. I wish her the best. She always played her heart out for the Beavs.

Good luck to her. Not exactly a surprise. It was predicted by several folks on this forum weeks ago.

Will she be a grad transfer? And how many spots are open Not likely, as she would have been a senior as OSU this fall...unless she just graduated a year early.
Well it opens up another scholarship for 2018-2019 but a D1 women's team can have up to 15. The Beavers will now have 9 returners plus 3 new players, for a total of 12, but SR says he doesn't want to fill all available scholarships...so who knows, he may leave it at 12.
TK was going to see even less playing time with DS and JS coming in, so she probably made the right move.

Personally I was really looking forward to Destiny and TK roaring down the court together, leaving the other team in the dust. But realistically she was not going to be starting next year, and she deserves to be somewhere where she will be. Good luck TK and thanks for helping make the Beavs as good a team as they have been during your years here.

I am very sorry to hear this. She was my favorite player and believed she had untapped ability to contribute. Wish her the very best!

I always enjoyed watching Taylor play - one of my favorites as well - she played with a ton of energy and brought a spark and speed to the Beavers. She gave maximal effort to the Beavers, but life is short and years of eligibility few.....I will be rooting for her and the Aztecs.
Go Beavers!

Very sad to hear, she is very positive in her twitter message, we wish her the best. San Diego sounds great. Wouldn't be surprised if there's more to come.

The GT articleLast season, Kalmer came off the bench to score 12 points against Notre Dame, the eventual national champions, in a 72-67 loss at home. Part of a deep and strong guard rotation, Kalmer was never able to crack the starting rotation. The Beavers will once again be loaded at the position this coming season with the additions of Destiny Slocum and Jasmine Simmons.
