I don't know who this color commentator is ... but enjoying his insights. Finally a Pac - announcer who gets it with the OSU program and PC. Explaining the challenge of fielding a top-ten team in a state where the HS talent is good but doesn't compete even regionally. Players are coming from CA and WA because they want to play for a winner. And MLB teams know that when a player succeeds in Corvallis they will likely succeed going through the challenges of the minor leagues... b/c PC knows how to build character as well as baseball talent. Preaching to the choir here,, but surprised to hear someone like this on Pac12 Network

Just wondering...are fans in Corvallis the only ones in the west that show up for baseball games?

Just wondering...are fans in Corvallis the only ones in the west that show up for baseball games? If you travel to away games you'd see the answer is absolutely YES! The Furd/OSU series last season was the best attended game I've been to as far as good baseball fans, but small venue. Except the LL night at the ASU series for the Friday night game. Basically free tix and thousands of unsupervised kids running all over. People post here making fun of ucks/PK... I get it... but, it's pretty much the norm. I will also say visits by OSU are a big event. Utah ticket guy said our series would equal actual butts in the seats for the next three series.
