In just under 20 minutes of preseason action for the Phoenix Mercury against the Seattle Storm this afternoon, first round draft pick Marie Gulich posted 10 points (on 5/6 accuracy from the field), 6 boards, 3 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal in her debut. The Mercury started Gulich in order to see what she could do at the WNBA level in a preseason game. Beaver Nation will see the brief video below and nod in approval that we have seen her do that many times before. At the end of the video highlight below, Seattle Storm and PAC-12 announcer Elise Woodward simply stated, "I love her game!"

Gulich gets onto the scoreboard early during her first preseason game in the 27 seconds of a video highlight below. First bucket for the Mercury.
Gotta love that Gulich smile! She appears to be in a pretty good place during the post-game interview below with Ron Callan at the Key Arena in Seattle earlier today.

I really hope that she gets her playing time. It looks like she is picking up where she left off.
She is just pure class.
