Ugggh. 2 errors and 3 walks in the first. 40 pitches by Thompson.
Beavs down 3-0, bot of 2 trying to get a lil rally started. King on first with 1 out.

In the 5th down 11-2. Thompson lasted 2 and a third. 7 hits & 6 runs

Gretler at the C position. KJ is DH

Beavs leave 2 on in the 8th and the 9th.can't get em in. Lose 12-9
15 hits for the beavs
Give up 12 runs and 13 hits. Beaver pitcher also give up 11 walks
Looks like Yeskie has some stuff to work on this week

Bats were good. Infield D was poor early. Pitching was obviously bad, though Fehmel is already earning more innings. TMo can cover some ground in center, and Gretler was fine behind the plate.

Not like our pitching hasn't had rough starts before. I remember a streak in like 2012 giving up 13, 13, 18 early on.
It's our weakness, it'll get better. But, 11 walks is ridiculous.

Thompson has struggled each of the previous two seasons. He can be spot on, then have control issues the next inning. I've been told he threw that way in high school too. I like the kid, but our Saturday guy cannot give up six runs in less than three innings to a team like Utah Valley. One more outing like this, and he will go to the bullpen.
