A win is a win. Not pretty, but it's a W.

Madrigal was good, KJ needs to stop swinging at the junk ball. Rasmussen was good after settling down. John "Wild Thing" Pomeroy needs to control the flame thrower. Seeing Max E out of the bullpen made my day. He was bringing it after that lead off double.

Kwan had a great push bunt on the safety squeeze, but a little chewing on the failed sacrifice later in the game. Kid looked good. Grenier and Madrigal are already seasoned veterans. The surprise may have been Jack Thompson. Good plate presence. TMo is no longer the skinny kid at short. Guy has really filled out. Donahue really swung the bat well. KyleN's sensational play in the eighth was strictly ho-hum for him. Casey has a few more gray hairs with middle relief, but Fehmel threw strikes. Max had good pop and nasty stuff down except one pitch.

So good to see Max E. recover from that lead-off double. If we have an effective bullpen / closer tandem this year from Max and Hickey, combined with what promises to be very good IF / OF defense...watch out!

I think zeroposter meant Jack Anderson. Very good plate presence. Madrigal absolutely tattooed that ball in 3 at bats. Grenier very good patience at the plate. Minor meltdown by Pomeroy, but we'll be just fine. And yes, I noticed T-Mo in the airport yesterday and he does look a bit bigger. Utah Valley mańana look out!!

I definitely meant Jack Anderson. Total brain fart on my part.

Typical freshman jitters on the mound. PC ran them out there with a short leash, and they got valuable game time experience. You can't replicate that in practice. I had to watch it on Gametracker, without any audio. Was Jay Bird in fine form yesterday? Did anybody throw a "spinner"?
Madrigal-wow, that's all I can say. Now let's get another W today!

No spinners by Jay. LOL
Jay was good. I think he said he missed a top of the hour station ID. Technical problems on my end. My bluetooth earpiece ran out the battery. Which was running about a half inning behind. So i missed a little bit wben i went "live". And i think that was a big offensive inning for da beavs
