50 more would be GRAND!!
Luke’s Beaver career is peaking at just the right time. Would (will) love to see him in Omaha this year.
Was interesting to hear MP today delicately describing the extensive in-person discussions in the past few weeks between the Phillies (both GM Pat Gillick and Scout/former Manager Charlie Manuel) with Pat Casey re:Luke. MLB draft is only 1-1/2 weeks away.
Needless to say that for the Beaver draft eligible class, this year will be unique.

the question was career.. As of the sixth inning, I believe that the number is 364. Heimlich got a 10th strikeout to take his career number to 365. I do not know, if it was mentioned, but Heimlich surpassed Nickerson's season record. Heimlich is now the all-time Oregon State single-season strikeout leader with 139. I believe that Trevor Bauer has the single season Pac-12 record with 203 strikeouts in 2011. (Bauer finished the regular season with 189 strikeouts. Bauer had an additional 14 strikeouts in the Los Angeles Regional. UCLA opted to save Bauer for the Saturday game and lost the opener to San Francisco. UCLA rebounded to play UC Irvine in the regional final but lost.) I believe that Tim Lincecum still owns the Pac-10/12 career record with 491. That leaves Heimlich 64 strikeouts short of Trevor Bauer's 2011 record and 126 strikeouts short of Tim Lincecum's career record.

If the Championship Series goes to three games, it is possible that Heimlich could get a third start in the College World Series. Heimlich needs 65 strikeouts to pass Bauer for the Pac-12 single season record.
