I only know UTRGV because I'm a gambling degenerate. Xavier McDaniel's son has played for them (basketball) the last two years. UT Brownsville and UT Pan American merged to form UT Rio Grande Valley in 2015. They could not agree on colors so they kept the two school's colors, UTPA (green and orange) and UTB (blue and gold). I see on their website now they list blue, green, orange and with a grey accent, but gold is still on their logo. Ahh... so that's where the ducks got their current color scheme. |
