One of the best plays of the season. It just amazes me how well she moves. I remember the first couple games where Marie had several fast breaks and I thought she was going to be a handful. Little did I know how much of a handful she would become.

What I really appreciate about the culture SR has created is how his progression of players is "raising the bar" on each position over time.
That said, we will be talking about Marie and her complete game (on O, on D, blocks, rebounds, passing, face up and back to the basket scoring, fast breaking, leadership, encouraging other players, etc etc.) for years to come. One of the most complete players ever to take to Ralph Miller court wearing the OSU jersey (male or female). And she became that here, which speaks volumes both to her willingness to be coached and the coaches.....
And she certainly raised the bar at the Center position.
Go Beavers!

Re: Progression of players......and raising the bar at each position....
Right on. Almost everyone gets better at OSU, and some get super better....
I'm guessing that Coach R and staff have their sights set on 3 returning players to continue their progression and to raise the bar on their own performance. Tara Corosdale, Maddie Washington, Janessa Thropay.
Next year's team will depend on these 3 making impressive strides in their overall game, especially in the paint and at the free throw line extended... If 2 of these girls make breakthroughs in their complete game they will team up with superior perimeter players who collectively are among the very best (if not THE best) in the nation.
MacWilliams, Pivec, Tudor, Slocum, Kalmer, Goodman, Simmons: what a powerhouse stable of guards..... But I think everyone agrees: you can't win with guard play alone. A really good team needs big performances from big forwards and a big post. That is where Coach needs to see real "progression" and significant "raising the bar." If he gets it good things are in store for the 2018-2019 Beavers.....
GO BEAVS !!

The depth is exciting and will have everyone fighting for their spot, which is great. The coaching staff will get the best out of them no doubt. I do wish the Germ stayed another year to complete her masters but o well
