A lot of the hand wringing from Beaver Nation just got answered. Wow. Mizzou State is a good club and we beat the living hell out of them. I hope it continues Saturday.
GO BEAVS!

A lot of people are bemoaning the 7-5 conference start after being 18-1 OOC and seeing gloom and doom in the future. With the OOC start and absolutely destroying the #25 team in the country I can draw a couple conclusions: One, OSU is for real and, two, the Pac-12 as per usual is pretty tough.

The Pac-12 has been down the last couple of years. Oregon State owes much of the 27-3 conference record in 2017 to that fact. The conference is undoubtedly up this year. Conference wins are going to be much tougher to come by in 2018 than in 2017.

It was funny listening to the Missouri State coach complain about the weather when they were talking about their lower home run productivity and how cold it is been there. Today it should be about 50 degrees and dry with the wind blowing in much like the weather we have at Goss frequently in the spring. Our guys should be right at home in it, and after what we showed we could do in SEC style weather yesterday I don't think the opposition coach is going to be seen on TV complaining too much. that was simply a dominant hitting performance against supposedly good pitching staff. Pac-12 pitching is probably the best in the nation team for team and we play in such disadvantaged conditions all the time.
