now thru 7, 1-1 tie. Matt out of game after 7innings, 1 run, 4 K's. tiger reliever's second pitch of 8th ends up in the seats, of course it did,its the tigers. no decision for Matt and tigers lose 2-1.

Another solid outing for Matt today-6.1 innings 1 earned run. No run support until late in the game so now is 0-1 with with a 1.40 era in three starts.

From MLB.com: While Boyd became the first Tigers left-hander since at least 1908 to deliver six or more innings of one-run ball or better in his first three starts of a season, his no-decision also made him the first Major League pitcher since Pedro Martinez in '94 to do that and not earn a win in any of those starts, according to Baseball-Reference.com.

From MLB.com: While Boyd became the first Tigers left-hander since at least 1908 to deliver six or more innings of one-run ball or better in his first three starts of a season, his no-decision also made him the first Major League pitcher since Pedro Martinez in '94 to do that and not earn a win in any of those starts, according to Baseball-Reference.com. So he’s got that going for him, which is nice.
