Looks like Cameron Brink is not the only super star sophomore in the Pacific Northwest high school ranks.
Small town dynamo Hailey Van Lith from Cashmere, Washington is a best-in-the-country prospect and she is just finishing up her sophomore year.
This post is to see if any Beaver fans in the Wenatchee area know whether Van Lith has any possible OSU connections. Would be curious if anyone knows anything about her....
I didn't post any links because she is so easy to google. Everyone pretty much agrees she has super star power. No doubt.
Anyone able to share in info about her?
I find it encouraging that her family has kept her enrolled in Cashmere High and have not sent her off to a basketball factory - but she does participate in a lot of national scale competitions so she has already received a great deal of country-wide exposure.
GO BEAVS !!

I don't know about OSU connections but I have read some articles about her. In one article she mentions UCONN and how she imagines herself playing for them. It could be the small town girl running off to the big city and having new adventures syndrome. She may find out, like Destiny, that the big time schools are not what she envisioned. I would hope she takes a strong look at Oregon State and stays on the west coast. If she dreams of the WNBA and is good enough she can get there through Oregon State and not have to go to UCONN.
Speaking of Cameron Brink. T.V. from Stanford is recruiting her pretty hard. She has even been to one of Cameron's High School games. I also hope she gives the Beavers a strong consideration but a degree from Stanford carries a lot of weight when it comes to a carreer in life.

Van Lith attended the OSU elite camp last summer. Reports are that she is legit and handles the ball extremely well. She attacks the paint off the dribble and puts defenses on their heels.
Van Lith recently made the USA 3-on-3 team after a strong performance at the trials.
The fact that she took the time to attend the OSU elite camp in '17 is encouraging, but she is definitely being recruited heavily and has likely already been verbally offered by a number of the perennial Top 10 squads. OSU is now also becoming known as one of those perennial Top 10 programs and is a viable choice for the best prospects in the Pacific Northwest.

OSU Elite camp - - now there's a connection !! Good find....
"Van With recently made the USA 3-on-3...." I think she was voted MVP of the tourney. Her team won the Nat. 3 on 3 championship...
The obvious good news is that everyone on the staff has seen her, evaluated her, and had the opportunity to assess how she might fit into the program.. Hopefully, by the time she is a senior we will have some very impressive Bigs for her to think about teaming up with......
Back to the recent "Star System" discussion: Van Lith scored 36 of her team's 48 points in the State Championship game last month. She missed a runner at the buzzer to send it into overtime. Now there's a coach who utilizes the Star System.

No. True, I'll give you that storrs is smaller then Corvallis. I was thinking is was closer, a suburb of Hartford. About the same time it takes to go to Portland you can drive from Storrs to Boston. Bet she could find lots to do there. Anyway my point was she may want to go to a top 10 program in a different part of the country. Now she may take a good look at the Washington program. I think the coach up there is pretty good. Remember the Beavers beat Long Beach State by 1. she was the coach there.
